Setup Description
1. There will always be a Kingmaker. The Kingmaker is a Good-only role that, during each night phase, selects two potential kings for that day (a primary and a backup.) The Kingmaker cannot choose himself or herself.
2. The King of the day is the only person who can decide the lynch. No one has any votes. The game still operates in day/night phases and is, otherwise, like typical mafia. This game starts in the day phase, so the Kingmaker is the only one that makes their "night" action before Day begins.
3. If the Kingmaker dies, a new one is selected from one of the peasants. The old Kingmaker's choice of King will still be used in that case.

This is a semi-open setup. Only the following roles will appear in the game (but not all of them necessarily will):
Good Roles:
You are a peasant. You can't vote. However, the Kingmaker can make you King for a day, in which case you will have a vote. If the Kingmaker dies, you have a chance of becoming the new Kingmaker. You win when your faction (Good) is the only one remaining, or nothing can prevent the same.You are a merchant. You can't vote. However, the Kingmaker can make you King for the day, in which case you will have a vote. You can never become Kingmaker. You win when your faction (Good) is the only one remaining, or nothing can prevent the same.You are a hero of the people. If you are executed, the people will rise up and kill the King in revenge. You can't vote, but the Kingmaker can make you King for the day, in which case you will have a vote. You can never become Kingmaker. You win when your faction (Good) is the only one remaining, or nothing can prevent the same.You are a doctor. You can protect other players from kills. Follow the typical MS site rules (don't talk about ongoing games in a way that disrupts the integrity of either game involved, don't be a jerk, don't edit your posts, don't talk in thread while it's night, don't talk to other living players about the game, etc.)
The setup will be balanced according to the number of players. Day deadlines will be somewhere around 15 minutes, probably. Nights will be very short, so if you anticipate being away, send in actions early.
