Think about Merge - do you want a tightknit group of three working together against you, or do you want two contestants that you don't even have to worry about?

If the five of us decided to team up for Merge, we'd be stupid and we'd fall apart. The ideal amount of people in each team is two or five - most definitely not three.

In most games I've played, there's been at least one "mission" where at the end your mentor-y thing is just like "Yeah I took the straight and easy route. Good job with the windy one though." - and this was the worst for that.
