What's the downside of a cop claiming to save a townie? The scum kill the cop.

What's the downside of a hider claiming to save a townie? The scum might shoot into scummy mislynches hoping to hit the hider?

What's the downside of making up a fake claim where you never have to explain not being NKed as a power role, can confirm buddies town in LyLo, and convienently having one living target that's a totally explicable night kill?

To be fair, isn't that last point kinda circular reasoning? Regardless, Anti is so obvscum it hurts.

Unvote, Vote: Anti

Pine also claimed scum in-thread like I pointed out but it seems I'm beating a dead horse, so.

If it's cool with the mod, I can PM a few people I know to see if they wanna replace in so we can get our massclaim over with.

Yeah Icey is probanly right on this point (Though when thinking about it I'm not sure if outting yourself to help town is readily apparent as the best move.) His claim does seem like the classic scum claim in other respects.

I'm not sold on Anti yet. I'm just not following Icey's logic here. Maybe instead of capslock-gasming, you could explain the interpretation?

The claimed Hider just happened to pick to hide behind two confirmed townies the day before they died? Smelling a "Oh I don't want to take risks so I'll just use the dead people"

He did explain it, pine. I'm beginning to see pine scum a bit more. This is a really inopportune time to soft defend your buddy if you're scum, bro. That claim pretty much confirms him as scum.

Are you kidding me.

No dude, it goes like this:

Claim: Cop

Jerbs is innocent.

And then you announce your investigate targets in the thread.

If the NK misses you and you're like
"O THANK GOD A DOCTOR"
If you hit scum you're like
"OH HAI I FLIPPED HIDER LIKE WHADDA YA THINK KILLED ME?"

Only not really because you're dead, but townies with three functional brain cells will figure it out.

See you really can't lynch somebody for not realizing that plan (which TBH I'm not so sure is flawless due to a risk of Counterclaim.)

I agree that lynching anti based on the fact that he's failtown is stupid as fuck, even if he deserves it. Our vote is NOT under the premise that he's town that failed, our vote is on anti because he's scum. Grey's motivations for the vote feel a bit sketchy, but I don't think looking into it that much is worthwhile because his claim and actions still read super town to me.

Fugi, you're starting to get infected by your partner's tunnel vision. I just didn't get it the first time. Ice's last post clarified his position just fine for me.

But if you're looking for a soft defender, look two posts above mine.

Lynches on Empking, Antihero, or Hiraki are all good.

I've executed that plan. It's fairly fucking flawless as long as moderators are smart and keep not putting multiple alignment-confirmation roles in normals.

That's GOOD hider play.
Mediocre hider play is you just claim hider. It's also the right play if you're not willing to run the gambit (which, to be fair, has its share of risks).
bad hider play is you hide behind obvtown that you hope won't be nked to become faux-bulletproof.
Scum play is antihero.

And you are his scumbuddy Empking.

Have yo ever seen (not executed but seen) a player play like that? I know that I'll play a Hider like that in the future but I'm not sure I would have played a Hider like that in the past. The convenience issue is a much bigger one in my mind.

[redacted] - Will discuss later.

I fakeclaim a lot as town, tbh. Offhand, Sherlock Holmes has finished. BUT ANYWAY yeah. Antihero definitely is smart enough to claim when he can save town and potentially send a lynch into scum. On the other hand, he's late on the list and seeing a lot of VTs, and figured a fakeclaim was safe.

Too bad it was so horrid it was radioactive :P

I believe that's L-2. I'm personally okay with an Anti hammer without anything else from him, especially as it seems unlikely he would even post again within a few days, but I also wouldn't mind a defense or a scumlist to use for information purposes from him. Up to the non-voters, I won't be taking our vote off Anti til he's hanged in all likelihood.
