Nominate RayFrost for Best Performance in a Losing Cause
in Newbie 1061, where he replaced in to a scummy mafia roleblocker spot, single-handedly pegged the power roles within three hours, then charismatically took it to mylo where he
nearly
won.
Third
(assuming M=W 2nd counts).
@Gandalf, it was 7 vs 1 starting D2, and the 7 had 2 power roles plus a blocked NK/Confirmed Innocent.
Factor in the two leading vote getters D1 were the 2 scum, RF's play was magnificent.
Me=Weird wrote:Why not? I'm pretty sure they count for new player awards, why not other things? But seriously, he was awesome. His partner got lynched, with the person he replaced a close second, he shed almost all suspicion from him, just one guy who, though right, didn't have any reasoning to convince other people. Plus the whole thing how a couple hours after replacing, he RB'd the cop, and then lynched him.
EDIT: if allowed,
2nd.
My point is that all these things, while they would be exceptional in a normal game, just aren't really that hard in a newbie game. It's a fact, newbies are gullible. You claim doc and they all of a sudden consider you confirmed town.

You're insulting the newbies without reading the game: we had few bad players in that game. If I did the same performance in a "normal" game filled with VIs (like shotty, vezok, chesskid, etc), it'd actually be
less
impressive. You're attributing complete lack of understanding to the newbies when they were actually one of the best groups I've seen in a while (better than quite a few players I've seen in normal games that aren't new as well). Bad play isn't something that can be determined based upon whether it's a newbie game.
Although I agree with your stance that I shouldn't get a nom for this, I disagree with your argument and find your points insulting / terribad.
IaI and co.: really appreciate it and all, but I don't want a nom.
random question: when are the scummies' little plaque things usual added?

Andrew, chesskid, DRK and TS all had amazing intuitions without tclawren, singer or I giving off many scumtells. They managed to nightkill (and therefore identify) singer the first night, roleblock me the first night, then roleblock/kill tclawren the next night. I flailed the last day I was alive. All of this was due to pure intuition with logical support (when it's usually the other way around).

It was so disheartening it was to get a message that said "You are dead. Oh, and also your kill didn't go through." The town was absolutely great, the only misstep they had all game was a mislynch d1.
Looking for a hydra partner. Must be someone I respect as a player and a person. PM me if you're interested.

I had the most experience with him in Percy's Stars Aligned III. He's a very strong strategist and a thorough thinker when it comes to the game of mafia. Whereas most new players would have been easily overwhelmed in that setup, Feysal stepped forward and was one of the leaders of the scum team. I have also seen him a couple of times as town and I found him to be equally thoughtful.

Ythan, on my play: "Scummy and bad are not the same. Some players manage to keep them separate, though I applaud how masterfully you blend them."

Ok thanks. I just got back to the site and played a game without realizing that had a Banner above my avatar until i was /in for another game and was so confused.
Basically, he managed to go through 8 days/ 116 pages of madness while keeping his lurker scumbuddies alive the whole time and while somehow managing to get on, well, everyone except PZ's townlist, thus only getting seriously voted for a grand total of 3 times in the game (I say seriously because on Day 1 Kise said Reck was lying when he really wasnt, which sparked votes on Reck that really werent his fault at all)
Also 1 of these votes lasted 15 minutes and ended with the voter (DH) saying he was crazy for ever thinking Reck was scum.
So... 1 player, 24 slots.
