First of all, I apologize about D2. I wasn't expecting to miss all of it with my V/LA...

So, after a re-read of D2 events, I'm down for a Jedo or hiplop lynch today.

Here's a quick summary of Jedo's first D2 post:
ISO 2: hm...not sure about hiphop since I'm not good at catching those kind of scumtells. Why don't we investigate lurkers/others instead? And hiplop pretty much just wagoned without any reason other than 'he seemed scummy' without any evidence backing it up.

The fact that you're quick to defend yourself in that arena when I've hardly done any accusing is suspicious. Anyway, Glass is the one saying you should be our vote today.

Notice the rapid backpedaling there? Jedo pushes the "blame" onto Glass, despite what he posted earlier. Not to mention that my "defense" was saying that his speculation, as he calls it, is faulty is my case although it appears to be the reason he's calling me scummy.

On the other hand, hotdogs' hammer for me was a complete null. The fact that SC brought it up just...is odd.

Current thinking: there is a slight chance, however slim, that Merans is scum and all of this was just a highly clever gambit in the hopes of outing an entire color group. I doubt it, given the creativity that would be necessary to come up with this ability. Still quite puzzled as to why Merans appears to believe coug is scum strongly enough to warrant wanting all reds to claim though.

Although I'm quite happy with where my vote is at the moment, I am beginning to almost lean towards a hiplop lynch, not only based on play but also that it could prove to be informative.

Oh yes, here is something to note. I know it's premature at the moment, but just in case I forget to say later on, if you are the last of a color and about to be lynched, CLAIM. Even if it means you get NK'ed, you will save town a mislynch.

My reasons for voting Jedo are as follows:
1) I find his D2 play rather weak as there was a lot of fencesitting.
2) The fact that he mentions the lack of leads today without contributing to much active scumhunting, and instead suggests lynching active lurkers.

About hiplop, I have my own reasons and speculations about him. I no longer think he is a viable lynch for today, given what you pointed out regarding his interactions with known scum, but I similarly do not think he is "confirmed" (term used loosely here) town for that either. There is a lot of WIFOM that could be said, so I will leave it at that.

I was having fun seeing Merans squirm today, and wondering what he would fakeclaim, but now it's time to end this.

Like I said, I was having fun and being secretly amused. And, I considered the other possibility that they could have been another color group (like one that hadn't gotten any powers) and that you were gambitting with the concentration cop thing. Because, like I said in one of my past posts, I thought that coming up with this whole color concentration scheme would've required an immense amount of creativity and though less likely, it potentially could've been a town's play to out scum. If you had taken it back today, I would've become convinced that you were town for sure. However, because it is stated clearly in my PM that there are 3 drops of yellow, and you kept pressing about how you're yellow, I knew for a fact that it's a fakeclaim.

The fact that your fakeclaim is inconceivable was just amusing.

I received a one-shot protective role after Pack died and did not use it last night. I thought Merans was the other yellow, and was unlikely to be killed given it would leave one unidentified yellow with a strong PR, thus believing it would be best for me to save my shot. I certainly didn't think my play was spectacular enough to warrant me being NKed either. So, it was a shock when I saw Rhinocke's color flip. And that was why my reaction was what it was (the "uh...huh..." part).

You know what? Town has this game in the bag either way now.

I motivation-speculate a lot. Believe that setup speculation is a distraction though and half the time, inaccurate. Ever since your claim D3, I've been wondering about it, but ended up concluding it was more town and thought you were the other yellow, even though your desire to out the other reds was extremely strange in my opinion. It was just really bad luck on your part that you happened to NK the other yellow, thus outing your fakeclaim.

I became shielded- 1-shot kill or poisoning immunity- after Pack's death.

After Rhinocke's death, I am now Bulletproof and thus completely immune to kills or poisoning.

Meransiel's claim is just so full of BS that it's ridiculous. My new PR is directly related to my weaker PR- it's just a (much) stronger version. However, it is only useful if I could theoretically draw the nightkill, which limits the strength of the role somewhat. On the other hand, a complete doc AND cop is way overpowered. And it wasn't even really based off his original claim either (concentration cop.)

Firstly, the yellow role PM is the same as the sample PM given. At first, I did ponder the possibility of uneven color distribution, given what hiplop said in the beginning about being in a non-3 color group. However, more thought into it and looking at what the mod wrote in the theme specific rules, I am

very

certain that there are only 3 yellows.

Now, with regards to Merans, it did make me wonder why he would choose a fellow scumbuddy. The gambit, if successful, would of course make him pretty much obvtown and prevent him from being lynched. For it to work, however, he needed to be certain of the target's color, or in this case, claimed color. Had he randomly chosen a townie, there was the possibility that they would belong in the color group that had not had a death. If this occurred, he would have a very difficult time explaining his insistence for them to claim since a non-concentrated color confirms town.
Now, his "investigation" on SC doesn't yield a result that would guarantee scum, and I don't think they originally intended for SC to be lynched, though he really responded badly enough for it to be inevitable. On the other hand, it would also further confirm "town Merans" so there was a bonus.

The plot too would depend on them not NK'ing another yellow -> Rhinocke. And clearly, that failed.

It is complicated, but it's what I've been thinking went on, purely because I know Merans must be fakeclaiming, given what it says in the yellow PM which makes it quite obvious there are only 3 yellows total.

I thought town did okay, but yeah, definitely not nearly good enough for a nomination for anything.

At the end, I'm surprised it took that long to lynch Merans. I was ranting about it to Kat, but seriously, if there was any more doubt I would've imploded. Did people actually ever believe Merans for a second that I was scum that went LOLWTF and decided to suicide and effectively DOOM THE SCUMTEAM when the lynch was on Jedo, someone I've been calling scummy for a while?

@Merans: Yeah. Well. It was fun. It really did not make a difference to me because I knew I wouldn't be lynched unless town was perfectly incompetent. I apologize if I made it difficult for you but I really wanted to see what you would claim, given the creativity involved with the color concentration cop thing. The SUPER OVERPOWERED COP/DOC was just too obvious though.

I'm glad that town did manage to catch SC. Honestly, in the beginning, I really did think that he was neutral/maybe town. Merans' claim, on the other hand, I had been more suspicious of since the beginning. Yeah, scum just did poorly and had a stroke of bad luck too for the game to end this early, though I maintain that after the Merans gambit there was no way they could've won. The fact that the gambit was so early in the game too was not very good as it wasn't necessary.

I think knowing color is fine, but maybe an uneven spread that is not mentioned in the PM. That way, it would be impossible to narrow down scum based on color, though it also makes it harder to distribute powers I suppose.

To scum: it wasn't that townsided. The game began as 9 vs. 4, which is quite rarely seen based on what I know. You guys might not have had a kill, but you had enough people to really influence the lynch or create chaos amongst town. Yes, D1 was unfortunate for scum (Voided was enough to raise suspicion but probably not enough to cause his lynch just yet) and hiphop's exchange with me sealed his fate. Even then, it wouldn't have been impossible for the remaining scum to get further, seeing as town didn't have many strong PRs either.

You know, I wasn't certain about the even color spread beginning of D4, but it made more and more sense as I went on and poured over the rules/PM wording. That, and Merans' claim, confirmed it for me. Took a while for me to understand the SC-Merans thing too, but in the end it made sense (even though I was apparently wrong about some of it.)

I do like xvart's idea of having single townies to mix things up.

Ok, some things:

1. I didn't tell SC about the plan. Sorry, buddy.

I didn't do it for towncred, but for CONFIRMATION. I hoped inv roles would find it unlikely that I could've 1 shotted scum and investigate me. Which is great given the power scum receives when he's alone: Ninja godfather.

3. I was devastated when I shot yellow. Honestly I tried to hit blue so that my fake role would vanillize, but red could do aswell.

Just for future reference, Merans, the bolded is a terrible idea. I highly doubt any investigative roles would investigate you for finding scum- I certainly wouldn't have. Scum would have ended up alone at some point either way and gotten those powers...so not worth (purposefully) losing a scumbuddy for.
