Tar is totally right about Surye.
Is he totally right about Zang's reaction being town?
On the whole, I'm getting town vibes from Zang, but I wouldn't say that his reaction to his wagon was a particularly great source of them. So, kinda.
Ant_to_the_max wrote:I am also not feeling this wagon on Surye yet either. He seems to passive? Is it because he is just answering questions directed at him and not retorting with questions back?
No, it's because he is answering them with "meh, I'll do something later"

MagnaofIllusion wrote:Elaborate on why highlighting the word Yet in that sentence is good support for your vote.
Think about it. Why would a town player say "I am not feeling this wagon yet"?
Surye wrote:Tarhalindur wrote:Surye wrote:We're on page 2, I'm not being passive, I'm poking and prodding to see where people show scumminess. I commented on the Nexus and Hoppster interaction as I think there is something of note, but I don't have a read on the relationship between them. My reads will solidify and I will take a stronger stance when I have one.
Uh, WHAT? Prodding my foot - summary does not prodding make, nor does simply answering other people's questions.
And funny, I seemed to get reaction. Hmmm.
Apparently Surye was disappointed when I unvoted him, because he's really trying to earn it back here.
Zang wrote:It's not because I'm so good at being scum, it's because I'm so bad at it. I just don't post with the intent to kill townies or purposely do scummy things in any way. I just play the same way when scum as I do when town and when town as I do when scum.
And Zang apparently doesn't understand the game of mafia on even the most basic level.Elapsam semel occasionem non ipse potest Iuppiter reprehendere-

Zang wrote:iamusername wrote:And Zang apparently doesn't understand the game of mafia on even the most basic level.
How exactly do I not understand it?
Well, you basically said "I'm bad at scum because my scum play is exactly like my town play".
Tarhalindur wrote:
Note to self: If CES is scum he's likely Godfather given the way he's playing.
Nah, he always plays like this.
The Rufflig wrote:
By the way, no one has to tell me that they hate my reads. Everyone always hates my reads. If you hate my reads, tell me why you hate them or which reads you hate.
Actually, I like your reads. The only one I disagree with is the negative on Snake. His Nexus vote was totally ridiculous, but it doesn't look like a scum move in the slightest.
Ant_to_the_max wrote:
Idk man...I still see it the other way. Magna said something suspicious that possibly could link him and Zang together. So you vote for the person who actually said something suspicious and if they flip scum, the reasoning for the connection between them actually becomes a viable case.
What suspicious thing did Magna say? Is it still suspicious if you assume Zang is town? How so?

Okay, there's too many scummy players (Zang, pappums, bv, Snake, Ant, Surye) and not enough players pushing them. We need to pool forces sometime soon, and I might as well start the trend. That means off the Ant wagon for now.
Unvote, Vote: Surye
Quick! How many votes did Ant and Surye each have before you did this? No cheating!

Ant: Two counting self, due to Hoppster unvote.
Surye: Two not counting self, unless I missed a vote somewhere.
OK, cool.

Uhm....is my vote count off? I believe both of his numbers are wrong. He moved from a wagon of three (including himself) to form a wagon of four.
Ant: iamausername, Cogito Ergo Sum
Surye: Nexus, bv310, The Rufflig
Where were you going with this anyway?
Yeah, I kind of ballsed it up quite a bit. When I posed the question, I was under the impression that Tar had jumped from a larger wagon to a smaller one, because I'd missed Hoppster's unvote.
I didn't actually notice that his numbers were slightly off, but since the point I was driving at was still wrong, it doesn't really matter anyway.
MagnaofIllusion wrote:So exactly what did you expect to get out of Tar with your ‘Quick, how many votes’ question?
I hoped to gain an insight into how well he was following the game. I instead gained an insight into how well I was following the game, ie. not as well as I thought.
Hoppster wrote:
(I struggle to describe my gut and feel ridiculous doing so, but hopefully by using the movie scenario people will know what I'm talking about. >>)
Hoppster is totes town for this whole spiel.
What he describes seems remarkably familiar, since I've had the same feeling attempting to put into words exactly why "I'm not feeling this wagon yet" does not remotely represent a town thought process. Only I don't have any cool movie analogies.
But seriously. It is not something that a town player would say. Town players are not concerned with how their reads might change in the future. They're too busy trying to figure out their reads in the here and now to even think about what might happen in the future that could change their mind.
Add that to his terrible "MoI did something that looks suspicious if Zang flips scum, Vote: MoI" thing, and I just don't get why everyone else seems to be fine with letting him fly under the radar here.Elapsam semel occasionem non ipse potest Iuppiter reprehendere-

Im confused. Who are you talking about here?
SnakePlissken wrote:Oh and Username, why do you think Hoppster is flying under th radar and everyone is ignoring him?
I was talking about ANT TO THE MAX. Not Hoppster. ANT TO THE MAX is FUTR scum and everyone is ignoring him.
Sorry, I just reread my last post and I realise that was not entirely clear.
SnakePlissken wrote:For examples you would need to travel offsite to the UKFF and locate a few of the scum games there.
It would help your point tremendously if you would, say, tell us what the hell UKFF is. Maybe provide us with a link. Maybe point out which games you have played with Nexus as scum, and which games you have played with him as town. Maybe show us why his play here looks like his scum play and not his town play.
The more of that you do, the more likely you are to get anyone to pay attention to your Nexus case.

I can think of a much better choice for an investigative role:
I mean, Martha did about as much actual doctoring as she did actual policework, so...
Anyway, Tar's case is totally pushing all my buttons, so

oh look at that ant was scum who'd have thought
Town, on the whole, played pretty awfully here, and I totally include myself in that. Should not have claimed so quickly on D2, and I knew it. It's just so hard to resist the cheap thrill of lynching your guilty investigation instead of holding on for a greater reward. But next time I'm in that position, I'll remember this game.
Well played, Hoppster. Adequately played, the other two.Elapsam semel occasionem non ipse potest Iuppiter reprehendere
