Artemis Fowl Junior had brought fairies and humans into contact with one another, and he had no idea the problems that he had started. A wise man once said "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction," and this was something that Artemis Fowl Junior, and all those close to him were about to find out...

Fowl Manor,
Ireland

Artemis Fowl Senior was in his son's study. Now, usually the father would leave his son alone to his business, but young Artemis had been acting very strangely ever since his father had returned from his misadventure in the Arctic. This difference in personality culminated this afternoon, where Artemis Fowl Junior commanded his father to leave him alone, whilst he conducted a top-secret business meeting behind closed doors in the conference room. Everyone but Artemis Fowl Senior was in there, so the man was allowed freedom to roam his manor. On a whim, he had decided to look in Artemis' study, to see if he could glean any information.

Crossing over to the computer, Artemis Fowl Senior found it to be password protected. Smiling to himself, he shrugged, and typed "Aurum Est Potestas" into the password box, clicking enter. Allowing himself a fleeting moment of triumph, the password encryption yielded, and soon the man was exploring his son's files. The first few were uninteresting spreadsheets, mainly showing the growth of the Fowl fortune. Artemis Fowl Senior was suitably impressed. His son had been busy.

One particular file caught the man's eye. He crossed over his mouse and clicked on it. "The Fairy People..." he murmured, as his eyes scanned the page. "Gold...pixies...goblins...Atlantis...underworld...centaur..." the man couldn't believe what he was reading. It appeared he had stumbled across Artemis Junior's private journal, and was now privy to his son's deepest thoughts. He couldn't believe what he was reading.

However, his progress through the diary was halted by an unexpected power cut. The man wasn't unduly worried, however, as the manor had its own backup generators, that would kick in any time soon...

...And yet, they didn't. The door opened behind Artemis Senior, ever so slightly. There was a noise, and then silence again.

Seconds later, an explosion ripped through the study. Artemis Fowl Senior stood no chance.

The lights came back on moments later. Artemis Fowl Senior had been killed, in Fowl Manor. The culprits need bringing to justice.

You stare a SleepyKrew. As you focus on him, his form begins to shift. Is he...a goblin? He is. You grab him, pin him down, and put the noose around his neck, but instead, the goblin blew a fireball into his hands before throwing it back into his own face. Yup. He committed suicide.

Looking at him more closely, you realise that he is the escaped goblin from the laboratories: General Scalene.

He was one of the ones responsible for Artemis Senior's death.

You all retire for the night, hoping everything is sorted.

SleepyKrew - General Scalene - Mafia Goon

Night 1 begins now. It ends at 7pm GMT on the 13th June 2011.

General Scalene

When he came round from being stunned, Scalene was angry. He was in the LEP prison, and it wasn't even his fault! He had been assured that nothing could possibly go wrong. He mainly blamed Lieutenant Nyle for his lies about whether or not the hit squad had been successful, but then again he was double-crossed, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Stewing in his holding cell, the goblin attempted to think up a number of different plans for getting revenge on that wretched Artemis Fowl. Sadly for him, none of his plans amounted to more than just "fireball to the eyes." So, it was time for a different tact. What would hurt Fowl the most?

His goblin face cracked into a smile. Of course, it was relatively simple. All he had to do was take away that which was most dear to Fowl-his family and friends. Now, all he needed to do was to figure out some way of getting out of his cell, and then he could put his plan into action. What he needed was some help....

Captain Holly Short:

She couldn't believe her luck. The place still sent a chill down her spine. The first thing she did when she arrived at Fowl Manor was to go down to the room in which she held captive, and see if it was still there. It was. She shivered as she looked around the bare cell. There was still the marks in the floor from where she had smashed the bedframe up and down, up and down until her hands were almost bleeding, and her arms almost fell off. It was there that she planted her first acorn in a very long time. It was there that she escaped captivity. It was there that the big ball of hatred had been born, and yet, less than a year later she was now calling Artemis Fowl Junior her friend. She couldn't believe it.

Taking one last look at the room, Holly shook her head and sighed, before flying back to the conference room. She hovered briefly at the paintings, smirking as she remembered her plans to scorch every last one of them when she wanted to wreak havoc on Fowl, right up until the Troll put paid to those plans. She still didn't really know what possessed her to heal Butler up, but she was grateful that she had. She felt a momentary pang of regret when she realised that technically she was to blame for his injuries, having mesmerised his little sister in order to escape. Still, it was over now, and both sides were even.

One last thought crossed her mind. Her mother. She hadn't thought about her for a little while, and she felt incredibly guilty. She missed her. The first thing she was going to do when she got below ground was to visit her grave, and lay some flowers. Perhaps she could get some roses from the Fowl Gardens before she left.

Foaly the Centaur:

This was his first time actually inside Fowl Manor, since during the siege he was kept out on the perimeter. Foaly had immediately excused himself from the meeting, and had gone exploring the house. It certainly was opulent, and the centaur was suitably impressed. However, when he reached Artemis' computer suite, he let himself be awed. So much hardware, so little time.

Of course, Mud Man hardware was miles behind that of the People's, but even so, Fowl's lab was far more impressive than anything else from the Mud World that Foaly had seen. It looked suspiciously like he had been including Fairy Technology, but since Foaly didn't have Fowl's permission, he couldn't really go around dismantling the computers and removing the People's advanced hardware.

Settling down in one of the chairs, Foaly winced. His hind quarters were still bald and sore from the scorching they had received-the hair was never going to grow back. Muttering obscenities under his breath, Foaly turned on the computer and was pleasantly surprised to see a user account in his name. Chuckling to himself at Artemis Fowl's uncanny ability to predict the future, Foaly logged in, and allowed himself to once again be impressed by the full capabilities of Fowl's computers. He was able to access any email account anywhere in the Mud World. Sighing to himself, Foaly opened up the command prompt. He was sorry about what he was going to do, but he was unable to allow Fowl the capabilities to hack into Foaly's own network. Quickly typing in a few commands, Foaly set a virus to work at eating all Fairy-related programs, and to immediately shut down anything in the future that might contain a select few key words.

He really was a genius. No point in being modest about it.

"I'm Chix Verbil, honest!" DeathNote protested, unfolding his wings. You could see a wound on one of them, but you still pressed on. "You're a liar. Kill him!"

It doesn't take long for you to string DeathNote up. As his neck snaps, and his wings beat one last time, you realise you've made a terrible mistake:

Chix Verbil:

The sprite's wings were flapping furiously. Of course, he couldn't fly with them, not with his scar tissue still raw from the slug that perforated it, but still, it was nice to be invited on a mission again. His first real mission since his accident. He'd only been in the land of Mud for an hour, but already he had tried it on with every female he had met, of all species. They all rebuffed him, even Lili Frond, but Chix was still on his game, and not letting anything stand in his way.

He had explored the house to death, stopping in a couple of the rooms to admire pictures of the female Fowls. Not bad, for Mud wenches. Sadly he had been frozen out by both Holly and Lili, so he had to content himself with looking at the Mud Girls.

His wings were still flapping, and he knocked over a vase. It crashed to the ground, shattering into infinitesimal pieces. "D'arvit," the sprite swore, shaking his head. He quickly swept up the pieces, and dropped them into another vase, before quickly making his escape from the room. Hopefully noone would find it before he left, and then it wouldn't matter.

Looking around, however, Chix noticed with a sinking heart that all the rooms had cameras in them. Eventually, his secret would be found out. He didn't earn enough to be able to replace a vase, especially not one from such a rich household as Fowl Manor. Maybe he would have to offer his services as a bodyguard to the Mud Women. Or maybe he would have to spend his time cleaning the house. Only one of those prospects appealed to him.

Acosmist - Corporal Lili Frond - Vanilla Townie

Corporal Lili Frond:

The elf was giddy with happiness. No longer was she being kept in Haven for menial tasks such as giving warnings about places like Fowl Manor. She was actually here, in the flesh. She had been allowed to go on a mission for the first time ever. It hadn't been without its hiccups, like Chix Verbil hitting on her, but all in all her first venture into the world of Mud had been a nice one.

There were so many pretty buildings and lovely landscapes to look at, even if she did have to be shielded whenever she wanted to go anywhere. She hated shielding, it always messed up her hair and clothes. Smoothing down her uniform, Lili smiled to herself as she caught sight in the mirror. The personal touches she had added to her LEP uniform really brought out her flair. She was considering offering out her services to other members of the force. Maybe one day, she could be a stylist to the Mud People as well. Well, if she ever returned, that is.

First things first, she had to concentrate on the mission at hand. She needed to make sure that she did everything to a high standard so as she would be picked to go on another.

Wing Commander Vinyaya:

Ah, the land of Mud. It had been a long time since she had last been here. Being on the Council really was hard work, it wasn't just sitting behind a desk. She often wished for the opportunity to go back to the surface and fill her lungs with the Mud air, but it rarely came to fruition. Mind-crushingly dull meetings and multiple votes over the same thing were getting tedious, though, so she was glad to be back on the Surface, albeit for a short time.

Of course, the excitement of the B'wa Kell uprising had managed to satiate her lust for excitement for a while. The thrill of holding an old-school electric gun, and using it to hit a goblin, every single time she shot was a feeling she wouldn't lose for a while. Even if it was a tense moment in the People's history, with them almost being overrun by goblins. Still, Fowl and friends had helped to save the day, so Vinyaya was more than happy to go and oblige when he came calling.

Soon, however, it would be time to get back to reality. Vinyaya wondered whether she'd ever be able to escape the Council.

Mulch Diggums:

Mulch loved being on the land of Mud. So many different delicacies, so little time to shovel them into his mouth. He particularly loved being in the Fowl Manor, because their larders were always stocked with the finest food available to anyone, Fairy or Mud Man. Currently he had just finished demolishing a whole french baguette covered in foie gras, and was now rooting around in the refridgerator for something to drink.

Uncorking a bottle of finest Dom Perignon, Mulch gulped it down in three swigs, before discarding the bottle. Next up was dessert, so the dwarf crossed over to the gigantic chest freezer, and pulled out a huge Black Forest Gateaux. It was still frozen, but that didn't matter to Mulch. He unhinged is jaw and swallowed it in one bite, before letting out a contented sigh.

It was good to be back in Ireland again. He wasn't too keen on the fact there were so many LEP officers around, but he was convinced Fowl wouldn't let them take him away. After all, the two of them together would be unstoppable.

Captain Trouble Kelp:

Trouble was stood in the middle of the path in the gardens of Fowl Manor. It was here that he, and the rest of LEPretrieval One were so roundly defeated by Butler. The one and only time a foe had bested Trouble. It was not something that he was going to forget for a long time. He still remembered the sting of the hypodermic dart as it entered his neck, and the feeling of shame that came when he finally awoke from the anasthetic. He shivered, not wanting to ever suffer that fate again.

Since the incident, Trouble had been working as hard as he could to prevent something like that from ever happening again. Well. That was lucky. You all go to sleep and hope you survive the night.

Briar Cudgeon:

Agony. That was his overriding memory. There's nothing like the feeling of being fried and burnt at over a thousand degrees by plasma. The irony of him being the one who had heated it up was not lost on Cudgeon, but at that precise moment, he was more concerned with not dying. Somehow he managed to use every last ounce of magic in his system and survive, but he was a husk of the man he had been at the start of the rebellion.

It wasn't until he had sufficiently recovered to fashion himself a disguise that he started to feel like himself. Granted, he was loathe to take ideas from the goblins, but the "fashioning clothes out of your own cast off skin" ended up having a certain amount of appeal to the disgraced Lieutenant. He had to go through three different Rituals, but eventually he managed to graft the skin of another onto his burnt frame, allowing him to actually stand up in a brisk wind. It was soon after that his final plan was revenge was hatched. Now, all he needed to do was get to Ireland, and maybe recruit some others to his cause...

You all meet back in the lounge for the final time. Well, two of you do. Sadly, you realise that both Butler and Angeline Fowl are both missing. You first rush up to Angeline Fowl's room, and find her body sprawled on the floor, dead:

The two remaining people, Artemis Junior and Commander Root eye one another suspiciously. "So, we must be safe," Artemis breathed out, "if Vassikin has been killed."

Commander Root began to chuckle, and as he did, his voice change. It became more feminine. A blaster appeared in his hands, just as his disguise faded. Artemis Junior let out a gasp as the trigger was pulled, blasting him off of his feet. One more blast killed the boy.

Leiskyrie - Artemis Fowl Junior - Vanilla Townie.

Left standing in the room, all alone, laughing her pixie head off was:

Angeline Fowl:

She felt better than she had in ages. Her husband had been found, her depression was cured, and her son had started to act almost like a normal teenager. Yes, her family was back together again.

She had a lot of faith in Juliet Butler, but she was also happy to help out in the Manor, to give it a bit more of a Fowl-touch. She was really content with her life again, and maybe they could have another child...

Mikhail Vassikin:

That damn Artemis Fowl. He had spent two days searching for the money, and eventually had to give it up. Then, he had to face Britva. Not really something he relished. Luckily, he survived that almost intact, and so began hatching a plan to get revenge on that wretched little twerp. He knew the number of a great plastic surgeon, so he decided that he would get his features moulded into the spitting image of Fowl's butler, Butler.

All he had to do now was get to Fowl Manor. It would be simple enough to infiltrate and destroy after that...

Artemis Fowl Junior

His family was back together. He had fairy friends. Everyone he cared about was alive. He had no need for more money making schemes, so he could concentrate on being a normal human being. Well, for now, anyway.

After recovering from the beating that Britva handed out to you, you decided to go out and seek revenge on Artemis Fowl. Something your associate said ran through your head as well. “Magic.” You happen to find out where Fowl is, and have infiltrated his little get together. Now all you need to do is eliminate everyone.
