Frustration! Hoppster, what are your thoughts on the town not having a Gun? In fact that question can go to everyone. How do we get around this? Which to me seems to be a bit of a problem unless Earworm dies today at some point, on that note, has earworm just dropped away from this game, what's with that? I'd like to see more wifomy wifom.
The person I'd think most likely to have the Gun at this point would be tarsonis, purely because she had it last.

Yesterday there was a PM about getting the gun and then I got one later saying it was one use.
I have had no contact with the mod outside of trying to vote for them today.

2. In theory if we were following the movie, the starting conditions at the beginning of each day should be the same right? So there may have been some trigger we did for the gun. Whoever passed out the gun yesterday...ummm monk right? You got it at the very start of the day or sometime in the middle?

Theory: TO is scum.

She still has the gun, but has elected not to reveal that she still has it (thus she won't have to use it). This is following the revelation that jilynne is getting the flips, obviously scum now want to minimise flips.

TO is the only person who makes sense (bearing in mind source material) to have the gun, as the day has been 'reset'.

Didn't monk have the gun first Day 1? Maybe it ended up in earworm/other scum who's not telling's lap. I could see it that being tarsonisocelot, but adding in the jilynne part of your speculation can apply to anyone but jilynne.
