Smalltown Mafia:


For years, the 9 of you have lived peacefully in the middle of nowhere, outside of all over civilization and contact, enjoying the quiet life in the country. One day, two of you decided that life wasn't quiet or peaceful enough for your liking so an ultimatum was written. The gist of it: We're tired of sharing this town, get out or we'll kill you all. Not to be frightened out of their homes, the townies of smalltown decided to get down to business and get to dealing with the threat in the only way they know how, with their trusty hanging rope.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns you have. I will make in game announcements if appropriate.

Do not use any font size other than normal please. I will warn violaters, and will modkill repeat offenders. Don't try to hide text or make it difficult to read either.

Absolutely no encrypted text of any kind.

Once you're dead, stop typing. (I will allow one contentless "bah" post as an exception.)

Please treat the other players in the game with respect. I do not want to have to intervene if the game starts to get personal, but I will if I have to.

Do not talk about ongoing games please.

This is my color, don't use it.


I reserve the right to add, remove and change rules as I see fit to improve the quality of the game. I will also clarify the rules as needed.

Modkills will end the day. (Breaking or pretending to break any rule on my ruleset may be grounds for this at my discretion. Your role will be changed to neutral survivor and you will automatically lose the game if you are modkilled, so be forewarned.)

Gameplay Rules:


Each day the town decides on a lynch. You will require one half of the living players plus one in order to achieve a lynching majority. I will go out of my way to make sure you are aware of this number. Be aware that you must achieve this threshold for a lynch, even at deadline. (No lynch will occur at deadline if there's no majority.)

Please bold your vote and try to put it at the bottom of your post. (Not required but appreciated.) Failure to vote in the bold format may result in the vote not being counted. (At my discretion I will determine vote intent.)

Unvoting is appreciated, but not required. Please post it in bold if you do it.

No lynch is also allowed, under the same format.
Vote: No Lynch
A majority vote for no lynch will send the game into night without a lynch.

Day 1 will have a deadline of 3 weeks. All following days will have a 2 week deadline.

You are subject to a mod prod after 48 hours of inactivity. You will have 24 hours to respond to a prod in thread before I start searching for a replacement. (Weekends will count as 24 hours.)

If you are unable to meet the minimum posting requirements for any reason, please let us know in thread. Don't leave us hanging.

Once a majority is reached, that player is lynched and can not be saved with unvotes. All players including the lynched player are free to continue posting until I get around to locking the thread.

Night will last a maximum of 3 days under normal circumstances. Night actions for relevant players are due within this time frame. If I do not receive an action from a player who has one, it will be forfeited.

Last and Most importantly, have fun! That is why we are here after all.

Another day, another good lynchin. It was all so perfect... except for the fact that Pappums wasn't one of the scumbags you were looking for.

Apparently making the decision to step into this game was the last mistake Quilford was ever going to make, as he was found with multiple stab wounds and blunt force trama, filling the floor around him with blood. What a peaceful image to wake up to, definitely good motivation to hurry up and find those scums.

What remains of smalltown turns quickly upon VP Baltar, who more than anything else can't believe how quickly the attention has turned on him. Insistent that he is a weak doctor, the town in it's infinite wisdom decides to hang him anyway...

Fortunately, it turned out to be a smart move. With VP gone, smalltown starts to feel like a much safer place, if not yet quite safe enough.

Hiplop quickly decides that Bob must be the last scum and casts his vote with little doubt in his mind.

"Works for me." says Beck, who quickly helps string Bob onto the noose. Bob puts up a valient struggle, but within the next few minutes, he is put onto the noose, and Beck is only too happy to get on with the hanging. Hiplop wipes the sweat from his forehead... "Whew, that was close..."

As Bob swings dead on the noose Beck smiles in response. "You're telling me..." he says with a gun trained at Hiplop's body. Before Hiplop can say a word in response Beck unloads every bullet of the gun into Hiplop's body, laughing the day away as the life quickly leaves Hiplop's body in a scene reminiscent of this.

Beck makes his way to his house where a hammock is set up in what is now a ghost town outside of him. He lays down on it and pulls out his cell phone, contemplating his next move with smalltown now firmly in his grasp.

Also, I have a game upcoming in the open que which I'm intending to be pretty similar to this game if anyone is interested. (If I'm given a choice over what to mod anyway.)

And I'm also considering running a large normal game in the near future in the area of 16-17ish players. If you're interested in that kind of game, let me know and maybe it will light a fire under me to work a little faster on it.
