The way I see it is this. Ani's tribe is gonna lose in the current course of actions. I submitted the first action within a minute of the challenge starting. I don't think they were faster.

You lose and you guys vote out Gandalf obviously. More importantly, you are down to 7 members to our 9.

However. You work with us. Neither Tribe loses the challenge, and we get good things.

Of course you could double cross us. In which case we vote out OP. No big deal. But now everyone knows that you guys can't be trusted.

Now, I can't make the decision for my tribe to trust you guys if you decide you'll work with us. You gotta convince them, I won't even be around later to encourage it. I want to believe that if you agree to work with us that you can be trusted. If my tribe doesn't feel you can be trusted, we'll just go ahead and win the challenge.

If neither tribe presses the button in 48 hours we both win. It's simple.

It's up to you guys though. It's just something I was thinking about.

I'm happy with the outcome of the challenge. After reading the thread, I think Ani's team also tried to blow us up. So his "we can't trust you" is a moot point. Our team agreed we would not blow you up if we felt your team could be trusted, but as far as I can see it was the Ani show, and no one in his tribe agreed to not blow us up, leading me to believe you guys were going to blow us up anyway even if Ani promised that he wouldn't.
