What strikes me the most so far is that I find Maruchan's eagerness to get to the Door Control room very disconcerting. Even given that he'd only be operating the doors on town consensus, we don't know what kind of powers scum might have, could be that they gain some huge extra advantage from being in there at night or something. I think we should be very skeptical about the motives of anyone who wants to move themselves (or any other specific person, in fact) to a particular room.

The Secluded Villa trio don't have the same issue, because that was at least partially arranged before anyone had role PMs so it's clearly not alignment based. But in general I think we should be figuring out how we want to arrange all the players without deciding who fills which role, and then use some kind of randomising method to decide who goes where.

Random except that I want Maruchan kept as far away from Door Control as possible.

@Mod, can you either Deny, or refuse to comment on the subject as to whether there are any roles that specifically benefit from being in a certain room? 2. Apparently, when passing through multiple zones during a Round-End Phase, you only get the perks of the room you are in when NEW-ROUND BEGINS. I did not receive any form of PM nor any communication from the mod stating that I had the ability to converse with anyone in a QT, nor did I receive any PM stating I was moved.

If I was to not pay attention to the game, I could have assumed I was still where I started.

@Mod!: Possible suggestion, send out a mass PM from zorastermod saying player X started in -- and ended up in --, with all player names on it, just so everyone knows what happened in case they are idiots and not keeping up on the game?

3. I can do this tonight. I will begin compiling a list for myself for all doors that want opening, and who wants them open:
THEREFORE ALL TOWN SHOULD SAY THEY SECOND/THIRD/FOURTH a certain door being opened, so I can see the doors most wanted to be opened/closed during the Round-End Phase. Does anybody object to this method? THis may also be good for scumhunting later on!

Maruchan is a frequent day 1 lynch, iirc - being a newbie and still on the learning curve - and as scum, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a desperate bid to receive town reads he might not otherwise get. IMPORTANT POINT IN THIS GAME:

Sound, protown strategy DOES NOT mean the player is protown. Look for townies based on tone, scumhunting, and actions.

This. Strategy is nice and all, but it is not a part of the scumhunting. We're playing 2 games here: Strategy Board Where-Should-Everyone-Be, and Mafia. They don't criss-cross (much)

It wouldn't be obvious at all. Any random scumbag could've submitted an insured Maru->campfire and had a 50/50 chance at negating 7 chips of investment.
I wouldn't even have missing chips.
Frankly I was a little surprised it didn't happen, but I figured scum would be a little disorganized and do what we told them D1 out of fear of getting confirmed as scum somehow and am glad I was right.

Ah you see, I don't think they would have done that. With how closely we are keeping track of chits, they would've been found out eventually. And yes, it would have thrown a cog in the town's playbook, but what do the scum really gain by me NOT being at the door?

I find Llamarble's play to be the towniest so far next to Maruchan's, and Maruchan is not an option. His play has been transparent, his analysis agrees with my own, and he's been pretty motivated, instead of letting things slide or get lost in the cracks. Things like "no scum meddling in the Maruchan moves."

This is actually the FIRST game I have anywhere near as strong of a town read for everyone as I do, so early. Literally. This like never happens to me.

I was going to try to signal this by asking the mod if I could quote a person's post as to why I was voting them, so I could quote the "Insurance: Y" past then vote her and unvote her hoping someone would get my drift.

@Klazam, I had NOT used my blue chit, however last night I used my blue chit to open the door you all wanted open. So now I HAVE successfully used the blue chit. And still have 4 left. The confirm vote was me trying to say NO I still had it, while saving my unvote for my planned signaling of saying Baby Spice's insurance was unneeded.

Why was insured move bad? I would prefer not to explain as it is more helpful to the scum than it is to you.

With proper organization, we can have maru in the campfire, halfway to the potion room at the end of this round. (1 partyroom move, 1 insured move to Rageroom, 2 insured moves to nexus, 1 uninsured move to campfire. This gives us a 2/3 chance of having maru in campfire and 1/3 chance of having maru be in the rageroom.) To do this, we need to empty the nexus.

Another player needs to be selected and sent to door control.

I have been loosely following your strategy the last few days, so yes I will send in an immediate move to Party Room for myself, if this is what you guys would all like. Or I can stay here for another round to re-close that door after we move whoever into it. We can insured-move them into the electric chair, then uninsured-lock the door, while insured-nonmoving me, OR insured-filling the SV.

I think there was reason to make that move insured, since that allowed you to open the door at the end of the round. Otherwise there would have been a 50% chance of you failing to open the door.

I'm not sure for what reason you think the move should have been uninsured, but you can keep that to yourself if you want.

By Insuring my move to the door, you spent (2) Chits. Any Enterprising Mafia could have spent ONE chit to UNINSURED move me out of the door. This in effect, makes you waste chits, AND them, but they get the discounted end of the stick.

Insurance/Uninsurance is a double-edged sword that works in favor of scum.

It would make more sense to move me to Security Room and then close the door between Electric Chair and Security Room. I really liked my idea of closing the party room doors and shipping everybody to the party except me since I can open doors. Do that for rounds 10-14, and use all our chits beforehand.
