Then lie back, and I'll tell you, sweetie.

The children gathered around, arguing. Time and again, they came to the edge of making a decision, only to pull back... only to decide that they couldn't bring themselves to commit, bring themselves to kill one of their classmates. They looked at each other, all seeing the unwillingness, all wondering which ones were faking it.

Time and again they came to the brink, only for one or the other to pull back at the last second. They all knew that they had to do it, had to consign one of their classmates, one of their friends to death. The only alternative was to watch the slow procession of deaths claim them all.

They grew weary. Even the discussion of murder can grow tiresome. And the cold, the cold made everyone tired. When they returned for more oatmeal at lunch, they found the pot had grown ice flakes, the spoon frozen halfway into the mass. The stove grumbled to life and slowly managed to thaw the frozen gruel, but the children noticed the palatable air of hatred it emitted as it reluctantly warmed their frozen meal. As they scarfed it down, they wondered how long they'd have.

The discussion dragged, on and on. Some of the children noticed the half eaten bowls were already frozen, even the ones by the fire, but no one said anything. This cold was inimical to life, it seemed almost natural that it hated the things that gave life almost as much as it hated the things that had it.

The children arrived at a decision. Cold and weary, they finally came to an agreement. VoidedMafia was not acting like he normally did. A bright, eager, precocious child, VoidedMafia was hostile and defensive, his long soliloquies had more anger and defensiveness than curiosity and reasoning. VoidedMafia was already dead. He had been dragged off that trail, that horrible trail, during the blizzard, and been replaced. He was an evil fairy, and their real friend was already dead.

At least that's what they told themselves. At least that's what they told themselves as they dragged him out onto the floor, screaming. At least that's what they told themselves as they held down his arms and legs. At least that's what they told themselves as they placed the iron stake over the center of his chest. At least that's what they told themselves when WeirdVoights brought down the sledgehammer they found out in the shed, impaling VoidedMafia, driving the stake into the floor beneath him.

VoidedMafia screamed, then, a sad, pitiful sound. And then he let out a low moan. His chest slowly deflated, and his body changed. His skin altered, black lines spiderwebbing across it, and from his head sprouted long, bat-like ears. He shrunk, until he was barely the size of an infant. His hands turned to small curled claws, and black ichor dripped from under his fingernails.

Their true friend was already dead, his body buried beneath the snow, on that cold trail. And which among them knew what the night would bring?

Still the corpse of their enemy brought them some comfort. They had hunted. They had killed. And they had succeeded. How could you not take pleasure in that?

And somewhere, in that cold darkness, a pair of eyes watched. And considered.

Odd vig + even jailkeeper has positive synergy for town (JK interferes with vig so it's beneficial for them to go on different nights).
That and yesterday's scumlynch make me much less bullet-lynch-happy.
I suspect either WV or Banshee was the bussing scum.
And any of Neruz/Hiphop/Implosion could be the offwagon scum. Though there was that hiphop thing which was bizarre and may have made him town?

Well my read on slueth was terrible, i guess sometimes active lurkers aren't scum.
Still don't really know what to make about the EB/rainbow counterclaim but it does make sense for a odd vig/even jailkeeper conbo.

Those kills make no sense. EBs role might make more sense now if we assume this is a weak power role game, but the fact that he got passed on for the kill for BECK (who obviously killed Sleuth) gives me twitches all over there. However if we can lynch scum today he is screwed as scum, anytime before lylo for that matter.

Thomith is not obviously town, but he is probably town at this point.

It now is time to remedy my early missread of a certain pony.

Vote Implosion

WV I could be swayed too, an implosion+WV team makes a whole lot of sense.

Implosion called VM somewhat off early on, then promptly began to ignore him for others, eventually ending up with him as a slight town read. VM actually ignores implosion entirely. There are two refrences to him, once in asking him for a suspect and once for asking him a pointless question.

weirdvoigts is probably town. 55 indicates genuine scumhunting, especially with how Thomith has been acting. Their other posts have also felt generally genuine.

I'm going to answer Thomith's question to Bvoigt for him, as we already discussed this and agree. These are the four motivations you may have for defending Thomith:
1. You are scum defending a townie so that if he flips town, you get townpoints.
2. You are scum defending a buddy, this is less likely due to the obviousness of the defense.
3. You are scum defending a townie trying to fake a reaction, but overdid it.
4. You are town defending someone you legitimately think is town.

Those are the four possible motivations I can think of. As you can see that's a pretty good chance that you are scum.

There are four possible motivations, WV, for you pushing a lynch on Thomith:
1. You are scum pushing a townie to get a mislynch.
2. You are scum pushing a buddy to get towncred from a bus.
3. You are scum tunneling on a townie so that you don't have to focus on too many other people.
4. You are town legitimately pushing on someone you think is scum.

Apply the above argument to, well...

every single person in this game.

You know that the majority of players possess the Town Win Condition.

Your argument is flawed because just because there are more possible scum motivations than town motivations, it doesn't mean that all four motivations are equally likely. The town motivation is by far more likely than any of the other three

simply by virtue of there being more town than nontown in this game.
