Don't think it's worth it.
As we run scummy people up to claim over the next few Days, we might catch scum in a lie regardless and it seems to me that the type of scum that has good long-term survival prospects has probably made sure they can claim some townie-looking bids (quite possibly by simply making townie-looking bids).Scumchat is awesome. Fate was confirmed town by virtue of being easy to read.

Sweet! Chamber gets a hopefully quicklynchfree Day to read me.
The reason I think Sera is town is his ignorance of the Vanilla Vig. That seems like a role that scum would definitely consider getting and put at least 1 towards. #64 strikes me as a little too obvious, honestly.
P.S. chamber, do you agree that if I were scum, I'd've made sure I could kill you?Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

And you were prepared to risk it based on that? I wouldn't be, especially given that scum would have had plenty of time to discuss what to claim. You're also assuming Julsscum would be aware of whether mass claim is a good strategy here.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

There wasn't a kill
Claiming targets will allow scum to go, "Oh, so-and-so targeted our failed kill target" or "Oh, so-and-so targeted our killer" and figure out role info that way.
So they'll know a teensy bit more than we do. Big deal. (I suspect the kill target was either chamber or gandalf anyhow, so odds are we'll know it too.)Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

6) spend most points as you would normally so you can claim pretty much truthfully, coordinating with the scum team to make sure the bids are spread out. You can probably spare 20 points or so to try to get useful scum-oriented roles and then lie about how you used these.

I've got access to Elli-Hoopla and Hoopla is dead. I think you can figure it out from here.
Reading that qt makes me feel much much better about Elli (it helps that she actually posted in there!). I don't believe they faked all of that, especially with Elli's inactivity being an easy excuse for a short neighbor qt.

Re-read the neighbor qt. The post-Hoopladeath post feels kinda slimy, but I still very much believe Elli's town. Interestingly, Hoopla called gandalf's early posts scummy. I also totally see gandalf killing Reck last Night to remove the "gandalf townflip clears Reck" incentive to lynch gandalf.

He died before we stopped quicklynching, sadly. He was slightly suspicious of me at the end, I think (fairly sure it was due to me being on the Maruchanwagon). I really considered using the Redirector on him the Night he died just to ensure he'd live another (hopefully quicklynchfree) Day, but I decided it was too unlikely in the end considering how useful the Redirector can be.
If I were scum, I'd've killed him N2 using the Redirector as a impromptu Strongman though.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

Faraday, don't listen to Parama. I'm the only one who has access to the Elli-Hoopls transcripts. He's town.
In post 780, Zdenek wrote:CES, does it bother you that you are able to get a read on Elli from his participation in the neighbour QT considering the amount that he posted in the game?
Not really. Strikes me as a bad strategy for scums. Beyond the fact that you're relying on a Neighbor Spy targetting you, why would you force the majority of your posts to be interactions with a buddy? I totally see Ellitown getting 3 Neighborizers and just talking in QTs for most of the game.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!

It occurs to me that if I were scum, a townlynch today would allow me to win overnight by using the vanilla vig to get 2 kills (this doesn't work if Zdenek were my partner, but that just goes to show that a scum team with a vanilla vig wouldn't've killed Reck). Given how easy it would've been to push either Elli or Zdenek as Today's lynch, this should confirm me, methinks.Scumchat is awesome. Yarr!
