How much can scum really accomplish without any previous days or abilities to use? The connection is interesting, but I think it could be placed on the back burner until later in the game. Logically, I find Riktus's argument more legitimate, however, I do not think his conclusions warrant action. On the other hand, day one bandwagons are fun.Vote Colonel KurtzShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays

Didn't you just get through telling us that common scumtells (ie. voting no lynch; post 161) are not necessarily (if at all) scumtells?chaotic_diablo wrote:

Voting for a no lynch day 1, etc., is commonly (ie by at least a significant minority, if not a majority) considered a possible scum tell, as evidenced by the fact that this argument is taking place. You say that it is not a scum tell for an experienced player. It can be assumed that anyone who is not experienced is a newbie, and therefore are not subject to scumtells since they do not yet fully comprehend the game and its subtleties. Maybe the jump I take from this point to scumtells in general is a little large, but nevertheless you appear to be acting upon sarcasm (my original quote of you in conjunction with your vote in that same post), which is very odd. Then you're wrong. An experienced player voting no lynch isn't a scumtell.ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays

C_D, the point was that you called it a scumtell in a very sarcastic tone (at least from my POV) and then voted on it.ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays

The phrasing in

I've kind of been neglecting my posting duties because I haven't always been able to find the time. Its been a very busy few months.
Anyways, regarding the logic behind the whole TCC, when I initially voted him, I saw a contentless vote and jumped on it. When I decided not to unvote him after being reminded of his restriction, I was mainly looking at his going away post. He seemed to be asking the mod in the post itself. If I had a posting restriction, I would ask the mod in a PM, and then post if it was acceptable. It didn't feel right that he was asking right there. He had also violated the pattern of one unvote/vote per post in his second post and quoted in his fourth. Normally, this would mean that he was faking a restriction, and that would be scummy. However, it turned out that the mod was letting him slip up in his restrictions.
When I changed my vote off of CD there were several reasons. First, a scummier target presented himself, in my opinion. Secondly, a mason is a difficult claim to fake in the long run, especially in a mini. At best it is a stalling tactic. The exception is when a second scum also claims mason, but that is very risky. Thirdly, my vote on CD had also accomplished its goal, as of his post 227.ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays

You were already voting me, otherwise it would have been lynch -1. Is that what you want to occur? Do you want a claim? Also, could you show me where I contradicted myself?ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays

Right now there are two people voting me and the same two are calling for a claim. If some of the rest of the town wants a claim, I will claim.ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays
