Baltimore meet will be cool.
May 17-19 should have lacrosse (May 18- men's quarterfinals at UMD for people able to make the trip), and all dates might have O's baseball for sports minded folks.
No room in my basement, but I'll help scout locations and such.
Oh! We can also go to the aquarium, which is like world-renowned.
The Baltimore Museum of Industry is, imho, vastly underrated and a lots of fun for getting into the origins of modern technology.
Also, I can show you where all the cotton candy fluff landed, and probably still is, from my daughter's b-day ~7 years ago
A solid day could be had hitting the Aquarium, lunch in Fells Point or Fed Hill, the BMI, maybe even AVAM (American Visionary Arts Museum) and then an indie film up at the Charles Theatre.

I never got into The Wire. I probably should watch it, but eh- too many things/not enough time.
I can't remember if the older show Homicide was set in Baltimore, or just filmed here. The retired police station they used for the show is down Fells Point. I don't think you can go in, but there's a plaque or something about the show outside of it.

Nooooo, MoS.
Jai Lai uses scoops. LAX uses sticks that have warnings that you could kill someone with them stickered on them.
Matt- the women's games are free! Granted, women's is a different game from men's (like baseball is to softball), but just as good once you learn the differences. You have no excuse!
Also we are getting Dominion and Seven Wonders, prob Shadow Hunters
Sweet.
Any evening that I can attend (exact dates pending on my daughters exact lacrosse schedule at that point in time), I've got a handful of games:
The Blood Bowl card game (Blood Bowl Team Manager, iirc)
A bunch of Fluxx and Munckin sets
Last Night on Earth
Avalon Hill's Fuedal (a sort of 4-handed chess variant)
Pandemic (hopefully the expansion by then)

It is way too much of a pain in the ass to change my location to "Maestro's mom" and figure out which invisible characters will let me skip ~7 lines to have " Not all of us are liars" next to it.
~15 years ago I was at a multi-day training in Richmond with several coworkers. Day one, the instructor is telling us where to go near the hotel to get food and stuff and he strongly advises everyone to not make a right or whatever off the main drag unless "we were packing our knives".
The 4 of us from Baltimore laughed and when he heard where we were from he said, "Except those guys- they'll be fine".

Wait...we were supposed to use fake names?
I'm Gorc Kat...
Or so google thinks
I did use Bojangles as the first name at a site that did my ESPN magazine subscription (4 years $16...too good to be true, but it was legit) so that's a ray of sunshine when the mags come.

Well, in Baltimore, it can be hard to tell if the scratching is a heroin/meth thing or bed bugs (especially as BB bites don't itch until hours later, ~10 am or so).

Well, shit...now I have to see if there isn't a night I can stay over...maybe I can convince my wife that there is an insane property emergency at one of our Baltimore sites and I have to stay over.

I will be there at least once. I think my daughter has a LAX tourney on one or both weekends around the event and probably practice during the week.
ADD: Looks like a tourney the weekend after, but the ones before and during are likely to have a tourney added if her rec team does well, so I might be able to convince the wife that drinking with internet people should be permitted Friday or Saturday

I'm trying to figure out if my parents are going to renew their tickets this year. Since my mom's stroke, my dad doesn't enjoy the games as much because she can't go (too much stimulus and she gets overwhelmed).
Last year they sold a bunch of them off at face value so they only had to cover the games they wanted, so if there are any other games open, I'll share the word.

I'll lift a whiskey sour to you all from home. I'd be there one of these nights if not for my woman being sick (4 of 6 weeks in hospital on 4 admissions...was a crazy ride). She's home and on the mend, but I won't be having a free night between that and my daughter's lax schedule getting hectic.
