Anyway, starting what I hope to be a tradition for me, I'm gonna roleclaim on my first post.

Why the need for a gimmick? Eh, if it makes you happy...

A few thoughts:
1. A townie can potentially prove themselves by using their one-shot kill (I'm assuming/hoping the dp will differentiate between town and mafia kills). They will then be killed the next night, but could be useful for a day as we know their intentions are pro-town.
2. We could just pretend we don't have the special night-kill abilities and wait until we need to use them as a last resort.
3. This game could easily get out of hand. I imagine we will all want to discuss every option before getting all trigger happy, however maybe it would be better if we were able to just decide on our own. (What do you think?)

: what happens if someone is killed by the mafia but also targets someone else that same night? Does the kill go through?

Anyway just a few things to get everyone going.

1. Why would they be killed the next night? Once they've given up their shot, they won't have any abilities but a vote. the mafia isn't going to consider those a priority.

Good point. It will be quite interesting to see if the mafia believes a confirmed town is worth more than a potential one-shot vig or vice-versa. I guess we'll have to wait and find out.

But I don't see why a vig would do that. Killing a random person with your only bullet just to "prove" that you're town doesn't seem worth it.

I never said kill a random person, but let's say we have two people who are under heavy suspicion clouds. We get the less suspicious one to vig the more suspicious one, and then we'd find out both their alignments. Sometimes we could even choose to do this instead of a lynch (as I doubt we will ever be in a situation where three people are under heavy suspicion clouds).

"We" would, except you define we as yourself, and I define we as the collective group.
Plus if we all just go about our business we all may vig the same guy one night and waste all our shots.

I imagine there might be some sort of different flavour in the dp for mafia kills and town kills.
Anyway I was putting all that stuff up at the start as discussion material and hardly anyone seems to want to discuss it. At least
