Mariyta, the biggest thing is you assume that just town has the item goals. I personally didn't see mine, but I have a hunch that as many players have one it's not just the town or townies. Every player has item goals. I have five I need to get I think.

Would anyone be objected to a claim of have an Item goal/not item goal?

I never once assumed only town had item goals. Considering to get mayor you have to combine alcohol plus two items on your list (correct me if I'm wrong on that), I assumed EVERYONE had item goals. Maybe that assumption is incorrect, though it wouldn't make sense to me for most people to have to get stuff and a few to not.

K-Scope-Kilroy has been against the item claim from the start. He started his reasons long ago (at least, I think it was him...)

Dude, MoS was saying that item claiming was going to catch scum. Catching scum > my desire to keep my items secret. I intend to speak up at the beginning of things that I disagree with - hence me voicing my opinions about item goal claiming.

So... yeah, I don't think the slip is that big.

I'll claim now, I don't have any items. I'm a bit confused as to whether we're claiming shops or not, so after we get a consensus I'll be happy to tell more or keep it to myself, as the case may be.

But not what those items are? It seems like the difference between this and a shop claim isn't much. At first it was just an inventory claim.

It is different from a shop claim, because a shop claim tells everything you might get from your shop, as you have only received one item from your shop. It still really is an inventory claim, the difference is that with some items we are finding out who they originally came from as well.

Actually, I addressed this point a long time ago when discussing the item claims. Protown people should be prepared to snatch up as many items from the dead players as possible when the day starts. That way, if the scum kill people to try and get certain items, they can't have them. They might get one or two, but they won't get them all. They'd have to kill a lot of specific people to get items they want, and all they get out of it is a double vote and everyone knows publicly that they got their items, which puts them in the spotlight. That's not really a very good trade for scum.

We should not claim item goals for sure, because we seem to have overlapping goals. No need for protown people to be publicly fighting each other. I mean, if you get someone lynched, they won't be going after your items, right? That's not a good reason to cause problems, so I'm not going to do anything to encourage it.

Shop claims don't hurt us that much, but they don't help us either. I see no reason to do them.

Well I'm here (have been the whole time...), I think the main targets right now consist of IH, Mari, and KD. Seems to me it might be best to string someone up and maybe get some claims. To me it seems like though, no matter what is claimed we may not know if its a town or a scum role >>.
