fyi: I cheated on the hellforge. Bought it from my homeworld. The only difference is that it can forge hellstone too. And it looks sooooo much cooler than the normal one.

Which Brought down a meteor (next task:

update: It's not within the area bound by the corruption(s) found so far.

And also Gave me a Musket, which, in turn, summoned the Arms Dealer.

And I'll be on for the next 2 hours or so

Logged off for the night.

Update: I now have a full set of Gold Armour/Tools/Weapons. Any leftover gold has been moved to the left chests, along with the Silver, Iron, and Copper. And Cthulu's coming (all by himself, not summoned.)
Killed that Cthulu with my musket. Cthulu's love muskets.

Update II: crossed the Left Hand Corruption. went through 500 musket balls, but picked up more that enough gold to cover the costs. Searching for that meteor.
The meteor is literally just past the left corruption. Not for long.

Had to retreat. The latency gives every meteor head one free hit. And then the blood moon rose.

Went back the next day. Dynamite-mined most of the meteor, before latency let a meteor head "Rip my Face off."

Meteors crash land sometimes if you break shadow orbs. They damage you when you touch a block, but mining the ore and smelting it makes meteorite bars, which allows you to make meteor armour or phaseblades.

If you break three shadow orbs, you summon the eater of worlds.

Eater of Worlds is a fucking massive worm, bigger than the little worms. Like, HUGE.

The eater of souls are the little annoying things from the Corruption.

Also, killed Skeletron in my world. Woo.

So I have made me a hellevatory, and I don't even have a full gold set yet. I do have an obsidian skull though, so I'm just stealing bricks, so I can build me a house that npcs and my other friends can't enter (Until they get some obsidian).

serious question: how do you guys get so far in this game without using a guide? getting swarmed by a mob of enemies and then falling down a hole in the water and drowning while getting gangbanged by zombies and swamp creatures because you can't pause the game or make bridges effectively with 10 enemies on either side of you gets tiresome after a while
