For one, it allows scum to claim a meaningful point-mechanic based role. The only defense to such a claim is "maybe the mod made points meaningless solely to enable a scum fake-claim."

Not particularly seeing the problem? So they claim it?
I mean, it was put in as Town as a filler role that was sorta-neat but didn't really do anything. But I could easily see putting it in as a scum role and let them claim the points did whatever they wanted it to.

I do have some regrets.
- I regret not informing Town ahead of time that there was a framer. Each investigative role was told there were abilities that could alter their results, but that was probably not enough.
- I regret the roleblocker being able to get the game into a state where it could go forever. A better use would probably have been to limit it so it could target any given person only once in the game.
- I regret giving the scum vengeful a fakeclaim of vengeful. I wanted a fakeclaim that did not include a Night action and got dumb.
Suppose a member of the scumteam looked very townish. That scum finds out that the score mechanic is in fact a red herring, placed in the game for who-knows-what reason. He claims that he can do something that is clearly town and interacts with the score, let's say "once per game, if a player has over 60 points without any other player having manipulated his score, you can have the mod publicly confirm that player's alignment if he/she is town."
But wait, it is confirmed to reck that score is meaningless. Sorry scummo, you lose.
That's entirely true. My understanding is that it is related to voting patterns based on the early game when Cabd was alive, or that it was solely manipulated by reck.
For one, yes, I think scum should be able to fake-claim things without being disproven by "btw, no one else interacts with the score" in a player's role PM.
Also, reck's role could easily die night 1. You'd have to continue to keep score, and it would be entirely available to scum to claim whatever they want that interacts with that score.
Scum are able to fakeclaim anything they want, but that comes with risks -- the less information scum have about it, the more risk. I mean, scum can see someone lynched at L-1 and then turn around and fakeclaim doublevoter, but they're going to be tested or counterclaimed. It's a huge risk.
Scum see points but nothing in the setup rules about points, they certainly *can* claim something about it, like it's possible, but the risk is just so huge that I would think it would never be worth it. Even if Reck's role hadn't included that line it, what's going to happen? Reck will adjust points to test whatever it is they just claimed.
yeah. i was telling ank all the time bbt was scum, as well that it was best to lynch reg, but he lynched ces for whatever reason. too bad, we would have 3 wins :/
Yeah that was my only big mistake in lylo. idk why I didn't just push through the LYNCH THE OBVSCUM REGFAN when he obvscummed instead of just voting who I thought his partner was.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of suspicion being thrown Reg's direction in late game. I thought that was going to be a real problem for us after Anen's lynch onwards.
Meta this. Meta that. Meta Everything. Meta is not a good scum-hunting tool. PEOPLE CAN MANIPULATE THEIR META. Stop it. Stop. It. Now.
I think the Keep being pushed in S/V is scum-motivated.
"i have the sickest grossest feeling that even if it's my lynch today, my townflip still won't lead to a tso lynch, and then he'll find some bullshit way to reason either shooting or lynching gm tomorrow because if there's anyone who can strongarm a mislynch despite his reads or cases being proved wrong time and again it's tso"
Your day one play was pretty well and effectively protected Singer. The fact you were never wrong on Singer would make me feel like such a total inhumane as whole of I pushed it given the Egg/NS in Uncouth. That one line really hampered me as despite the chaos I cause I do treat people how I would.
I want to know how I died and how Mastina thinks I am not candle. I had the perfect narrative.
