Thoughts: Roles should be assigned AFTER night actions. So RC-VT would have died, rather than RC-Vig.

I don't necessarily understand the mechanics of the Thrillville setup, but this seems off to me. RC-Vig gets the power overnight and has a chance to use it that night, right? Replacements that occur overnight should get a chance to participate in Night.

If I've misunderstood the setup entirely, ignore me. I only glanced over this game...

You receive a role overnight as soon as the day starts- you can't use it until the day's over.

No, he gets assigned the Vig, and then he gets killed. No kill for him...

Getting assigned a power, you don't get to use the power that night. It's like entering a new game with a Day Start, IMO.

Thus it (the roles) should have been assigned after the NAs. A dead Vig + A nullified LP Goon... might as well have had no vote that night.

Will take a survey, but this setup needs extreme retooling to make it work. Mod appeared to miss quite a few things that would happen during the game that threw balance out of wack.

Saulus would have been far more unpredictable. They could have hammered themselves with five alive to win. If the player wanted to stay full town, it was better, but if they thought for a second they had a better win chance as scum, it was far more dangerous.

This game was broken, mod overcorrected, then broke their own core rule/theme of the game.

The "no new role" thing was the worst possible move mod could have made from a 'not bastard' standpoint. A no lynch either added a town role (made final day one of two) or eliminated the executioner, both ideal things for the town. It is the entire reason I went along with a no lynch, no matter what happened, town benifited.

I will not get deep into the problems of this game though. Biggest thing that needed to be fixed was roles added known pregame. Like....

Night 0 - Macho Cop/Regular Doc
Night 1 - Mafia RB/Town Vig or Mafia GF/Town Vig
Night 2 - Mafia Role Cop or Town Beloved Princess
Night 3 - Mafia RB/Town Bullet Proof or Mafia GF/Town Bullet Proof
Night 4 - Town Miller or Hated Townie
Night 5 - Mafia One Shot Vig or Mafia Double Voter

etc

Tweak the incoming roles enough to make the game balanced enough no matter what the ammount of nights are.

I am saying only mod should know the roles, but all the added roles should be known pre-game, no matter how long the game lasts. A mod should plan for absolutely anything to happen, including mass no lynching if town decides that is the correct path to take. In this case, ani was not ready for town getting a lead and then exploiting the mechanic.

I agree 100%. We should have known the roles we would be voting on the rest of the game. You guys could have planned a more organized strike on scum with a PR voting ballot.
