It's fine. It's how I developed the style for playing this game. I wanted to do just as what happened to me: Become unkillable at night.

I have to admit, I didn't see the framer coming. I've never once encountered one in my over 20 games, and I was under the impression they're not standard "normal" game roles.

In retrospect, yes. I really wanted to investigate another person, and I was oscillating between DCL and MathGirl, I chose the wrong person. If I got IAAUN killed for us D3, this would be a different game thanks to the lack of a Framer.

@ICE: You ARE a 1-shot Vig and not a PGO, right? It doesn't really matter, but I was just wondering.

@kdowns: Thanks for the game, just a request: Next time, you mind making Vote Counts a bit more frequently? There were times when we went a handful of pages without one and I'd have to go shuffle through everything to make sure I wasn't hammering when I didn't want to hammer.

This was a fun game for the short time that I was in it. And my first ever win as mafia. But I must ask, why didn't you guys push a lynch D4? I would think that it is better for town to lynch someone while they have a bigger majority.

Kdowns you did an average job modding to my reckoning. Replacements were timely enough, vote counts were a bit sparse but decent, though having a framer in a normal game gives me pause.

Definitely not bad for a first timer though!

I was indeed a one shot vig. I damn well knew I was on the chopping block for a NK pretty soon, and I was damn sure that if Elmo wasn't scum, he was going to get lynched soon anyway so I took the shot. I actually almost shot you, thez, but I made the right move.

Mathgirl was strangely obvious to me but well played but IAAUN by hammering No Lynch and stopping me from grilling her. Didn't find the rushed hammer suspicious at all until hindsight.

I don't blame town for losing though I'll keep in mind from now on that whereever there's a sane cop claim there must be a role there to mess with it IE Miller/Framer.

Sigh.

My DCL/Jon/Thez reads were completely off.

@Haze (and to an extent VK) Don't be discouraged if you were wrong a lot. If you don't recall, I was completely wrong in everything I did. I truly thought Monkey was scum, I did think joker was scum for a while, but I decided not to investigate him because I figured it was one of those town v. town misconceptions. Hoko was really strange to me, and I didn't consider a framer when I investigated DCL because he really seemed like scum to me. The only one I got right was that joker, Haze and Ice were town, but MathGirl was scum (though she was my #3 if DCL and IAAUN weren't).

Something to note, as I think this may have been a bit of inconsistency on kdowns' part:

When you told me ICE/Haze investigation:
They are Town

IAAUN:
He is Mafia

DCL:
He is Guilty

I didn't really think about it because I forgot that Framer was a role, but a suggestion is that you stay consistent in either Town/Mafia or Guilty/Not Guilty, otherwise you could accidentally reveal something, which you did, but I didn't catch it until after I realized we lost.

I don't mind the Godfather role and miller role but bah, this framer thing is really bugging me. Scum doesn't really have any other roles that can completely and utterly destroy town on a lucky night action. Role cop is for PR hunting, role blocker is for PR stopping, Godfather is the strongest "normal" scum role and can really mess with town, but not to the extent that framer can.

One lucky night action on night 1 can damn near guarantee two mislynches in a row (one on the framed guilty, the next on the "obviously lying" cop), putting town in an almost no-win situation for day 4.

The only role town has that can cripple scum this effectively is a vig, who is easily the most anti-town role unless used extremely well. Most of the time vig shoots town and puts them at a mylo situation earlier than they would be in lylo.

Yeah framer seems little op here. Would have worked better as X-shot or if there were 2 sane cops to mess with =P

At any rate I'm glad I played like I had a PR and ate the bullet, pity it didn't help us win >__>

Also think the slew of replacements might have helped scum quite a bit and gave quite a bit of trouble cementing reads. I mean all scum except elmo had been replaced at some point.
