The "muddy water no result" thing makes my watcher claim shaky to everyone else and allows you to push WIFOM, WHICH YOU HAVE BEEN DOING all day.

Losing a scum partner on D1 is a steep climb for any player. Your gambit got outplayed by Slime's hider gambit. As to why you did Action A over Action B, that's all subjective speculation and WIFOM type of stuff.
