Despite it being one of the quieter days - the Don ended up with the most votes. Surely he is a member of the mafia.
At first glance it looks like he is - after al lhe can speak Italian and has all the memorabillia at his home. Alas he is just a mafia - wannabe. Not mafia even though he thought he was.
the Don - townie - has been lynched
It is now night - PMs please - deadline Tuesday 25 Feb
--- Warning ---
Any player who does not speak during the next day will get accidentally lynched!-

Night is over and once again there has been another murder.
This time poor naive cop Gaspode has been killed.
Gaspode would investigate someone each night but in his naivity would think that they are all innocent
It is now day - please vote - deadline Monday 3 March
WARNING - if every player does not post during this day cycle they will be killed off!-

Hmm, well there goes my last suspicion. I can't even afford to pay attention at this point since I no longer have a computer and am forced to log on from campus. I'm going to throwvote: Eillidout there and check back this weekend.--

Well, if there were two mafia, the game would be over, so apparently we only have one.
I was considering suggesting that everyone make a roleclaim, but we probably have a normal doc left, and if we miss today, the mafia would win by killing him, whereas if he's still alive he has a shot at blocking that kill.
As for suspicions, I would lean (very slightly) toward ExDeath. Just a feeling, though, which isn't worth anything as an argument. And I'm not gonna vote based on that, especially because I'd kinda like to hear from everyone before the day ends.-

Grrr... ExDeath stole my vote.
I think a role claim is probably in order because we needsomethingto go on and at this stage I've got nothing but hunches. If we lynch a townie (3/4 chance by the looks of things) the game is pretty much overi think.
On the flip side, with so many false roles out there I don't think claiming a role at this stage would mean much. So we don't have much to go on except gut feelings, which for me means ellid but I wont vote just yet. (if she didn't have a vote already I would, but I want to hear from everyone first)-

okay. since no one else seems to want to bother talking, I'll fill up a little space by explaining why I'm leaning toward ExDeath.
It's precisely because he "stole CurtainDog's vote." I haven't seen anywhere a post in which ExDeath even hinted that he found eillid suspicious, so right off it seemed a little odd to me that he voted him so quickly today. And when I thought about it further, it jumped out at me that since CurtainDog was almost certainly going to vote for eillid (based on sticking on him like glue the last couple of days), then eillid would have at least two votes, which keeps ExDeath perfectly safe. Now, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be safe, but it seems questionable to hold your safety above making sure we lynch properly on this next-to-last or maybe last day.
not conclusive, certainly, but better than anything else I've got. And since everyone is being so quiet, it doesn't look like I'll be getting anything else, so I'll go ahead andVote: ExDeathnow.-

Hmmm.... very good point that, cp.
Still, if exDeath is town i don't want to be the one to cast the vote that loses it for us. OTOH, I guess eillid is still busy but it doesn't help much that she hasn't said anything yet.
We need three to lynch right? Ack, I've very tempted to go with exdeath as my vote but if eillidisscum then that hands her the easy win (I guess the doc still has a chance though (assuming there is a working doc))
I'll sleep on it, hopefully there'll be more posts when I get back on.-

What a shame...
CurtainDog, Casinopete and ExDeath all posted
Eillid failed to. The bigger shame as he was a cop - a good one at that.
Eillid (despite warning emails and PMs) failed to post and has been killed.
With the voting standing at 1 each for ExDeath and Eillid - no single player has half the majority so no-one is lynched.
However, with Eillid's death curtaindog and exdeath smile at each other as they now realise they have a majority and with grim satisfaction they shoot casinopete (doc) in the back and rejoice for making the mafia win the game.
Congrats to the mafia and thanks to all who played.-

Wait, so day 6 consisted of 2 mafia and 2 townies? Isn't that an automatic Mafia win, with or without a rule that says it is? Why stretch it out, sooth?
And I find it amusing that out of the 3 people I identified by day 4 that were "acting like mafia" (in my post basiically after I'd been lynched), 2 actually -were- mafia (CurtainDog and Green Crayons) and one only thought he was mafia (er...how does that work?).
Which means, I guess, that if Ellid had trusted my instincts (which were pretty good; the only mafia claim I threw around that was bad, near as I can tell, was Casinopete, and that was because I was basing it on statistics, not gut), he could have caught CD on day 5, and had a decent chance at ExDeath on day 6...
(of course, if I'd been kept alive, I would have killed one more person before I caught on (presuming I could chose -not- to save, which I'd presume I could), which might have thrown the numbers off a bit (but only on day 6).
Sooth: what would happen if I saved someone one night and then saved them again 2 nights later? Would I keep them alive from my own kill?
Thanks, btw; was a fun game despite lameness.-

The reason the game continued with 2 maf and 2 others was that the others consisted of a cop and a doc. There was a chance that a mafia bod would have been lynched and then the doc protected a player form being killed. Mathematically it was still possible for the town to win.
Mneme - your protection of a player who you had already protected would have still killed him that night-

It's a shame that the game ended this way... I was a couple of seconds away from voting for exDeath in the end too. I would have liked to see how that played out. (I thought the reason that the game was continuing was because the mafia had to backstab eachother to win or something)
I never picked that eillid had a real cop role - I'll have to point suspicion more carefully in future. (I'd be interested to know who you investigated if you're feeling generous)
Thanks for modding sooth, and thanks to all for putting up with my newbiness.
