Hell of a contest, and my top two ended winning first and second! I honestly might put my top four on my all-time song contest playlist...

Canada - mouse on the keys - spectres de mouse: A friend told me to check this band out like three years ago while we were out wine tasting, and they sounded super interesting so I fully intended to. An I kept almost doing it. But I never did. So thanks to whoever submitted this for finally making me listen to them. This is pretty fuckin' cool, and I love the jazziness of the piano and the understated frenzy on the drums, and the winding construction of the song. GREAT.
Greece - Noname - Blaxploitation: Funky ass bass with awesome drumming (those clicks and those short, hissy hi-hat hits, ooh). The rapping is also fuckin cool. She's, like, intoning as though it's spoken word but her flow is that of a rapper. A good one. I caught some nice wordplay in the lyrics too, though I'm not hearing a lot of em because they're so fast. This was awesome. GREAT.
Russia - Tori Amos - Precious Things: Love the piano. Just very interesting musical backing overall in this song. The electric guitar has this stadium rock sound to it but it's very sporadic. Singing is bold and intentional. Getting notes of Elbow and Phil Collins/post-Gabriel Genesis. I like this quite a bit. GOOD.
Anguilla - Deltron 3030 - Battlesong: Is this...is this Del the Funky Homosapien? It is!!! This is literally the only thing I've heard from him outside Clint Eastwood and it's great to hear more context around him. It's clear the brilliance and style he had on that song was not a fluke. This is some soul-warming old school shit. It's pretty nice. GOOD.
Runeterra - WaqWaq Kingdom - Mum Tells Me: Fun, interesting, wacky, modern non-Western indiepop. I'm intrigued by this sound and it's working for me. And then they get into crazy triplets! This is pretty cool and will get high points. Man, this contest has so much good stuff...GOOD.
Norway - Paul McCartney - Temporary Secretary: One I haven't heard from Paul's solo stuff. Love that off-sounding synth that runs in the background the whole time. Chorus is pretty awesome too. Lyrics are silly and kind of dumb but also great in only the way Paul can pull off. I like this one. GOOD.
Ireland - Jazz Party - Drowning: Cool kind of retro-modern feel to this. Kind of the same thing for the duration of the song, but it's still pretty cool. I'd put it below McCartney. GOOD.
Poland - Younger Hunger - Dead Inside: Interesting feel to this one, kind of an indie-electropop feel to it that reminds of The Faint. It's not bad! DECENT
Uganda - Nihiloxica - Nilo Chug: Very creepy hollow-sounding heartbeat drums over discordant, ascending synths in the background. OK, now we've got more of a groove going. Damn, they're Ugandan? Gotta say, this might be the first musical group from that country that I've heard. Seems like this is gonna be instrumental. It's very weird and kind of cool. It's a tad much of the same thing in my opinion, but I still kind of like it. DECENT.
Flavortown - Maya Hawke - Generous Heart: Hey, I know her. She was in Stranger Things. Sounds like an indie ballad wearing a country ballad's skin. She has a nice voice. The atmospheric backing and the way she sings mix well together. DECENT.
