Does Kanna actually expect Mala to catch up all 70 pages? I'd argue that regardless of alignment the best thing would be to only read D3 when you replace in this situation, if you want to have enough time for and information for relevant discussion.
Like when I replaced into a D3 game I read half of D1 and in the end none of it was relevant since everyone I had been townreading was dead.
