also, almost any power role could "just as easily be a scum power role". How does name cop help scum at all? You can't tell power roles just by names. It's not like it's role cop, where it's the most help for scum.

Strangely i have to agree with Caboose here. The Spanish Inquisitor could be either town or scum. I may change my mind and vote cow.

A better approach would be if anybody has seen a scum name cop before since has claim is pretty testable.

Hascow should prove his role tonight. The only purpose I know for a name cop is to find fakeclaims. I can't see how that's useful for scum. If he can prove his role tonight, I'll believe him.

This post is weird to me too. If you think he's scum, why don't you change your vote now?
You either buy the claim and think he's town or you don't buy the claim and you think he's scum or you buy the claim but still think he's scum. Which is it? Don't fencesit until deadline.

no. I thought I explained this well enough, but I guess not.

For example, if I were to have investigated zwet, I would have gotten "William Wallace". Not "William Wallace, Town Martyr" or "Town Martyr". Just the name.

I'm not in favor of lynching has today; I dislike the idea of lynching a claimed information role day 1 without very good reason, especally since his claimed role is so very confirmable.

What I don't want to occur is hascow getting "roleblocked" for the rest of the game.

I can't get over crywolf's last post. And seeing that yos and tajo support the wagon makes me think that it has a crywolf lynch might have a chance today. See my previous post as to a reason for my vote.

I've got nothing against a crywolf lynch, but I'd be even happier with a stark lynch.

PREVIEW EDIT: Yeah, name cop isn't going to catch anyone once claimed. But it does restrict scum fakeclaims since they'll have to match the flavor somehow. It's probably too much to hope that all the scum are linked thematically.

yeah, well, we saw how attempting to have the vig claim went, and I figured that trying for anyone else claiming anything would have received the same result.

At least scum claims are going to be more restricted now
