manho, Doctor, Lynched Day 7

MattP, Nobody Special, and Wraith, Mafia, Win!

Due to a night choice mixup that would have caused the last remaining mafia member to die at night, this is now a
Town Win!

Role Assignments (Not updated for the most recent replacements, but I got most of them)

Night Choices

I came up with what I feel is a pretty neat way to track and mark night actions so that the role interactions didn't become confusing. The color-coding really helped me a lot.

Is it bad that my play I'm most disappointed in on my time on this forum resulted in my faction's win? :/

See guys, when I said that we should cross-target and figure out our own sanities as quickly as possible...

still was a good idea

I think the biggest mistake was that none of the targets were coordinated whatsoever so we got huge clumps of targets on one or two people and nothing could be derived from it.

but anyway, as I said to MoS and Amrun, I do apologize for my behavior, and my replacing out was out of respect for the two of them as moderators and out of not wanting to ruin the game for anyone

it's pretty telling that you were the most vocal opponent of my cross-protect plan and that you were scum

I can't speak for everyone, but I was worried about losing overnight. I kept going OVER and fucking OVER the damn analysis and couldn't prove we didn't have killers. By not targeting, we got a guaranteed next day. I figured for myself would be killed, leaving you and manho with me. I offered up manho to see if you would take the bait, and you didn't. This confirmed you as town, so I voted. OBVIOUSLY that was wrong, but... hey... hindsight. ;)

@kuribo: I was on board with the cross-targeting, but without *everyone* on board, all the data was lost in the noise. :(

I guess what I don't get is how town was
supposed
to play this to win? I was quite sincere when I complained about 8 dead townies before a single dead mafia... most of whom were killed by US!!

(btw, seriously, impossible for that to come from town???)

Even knowing the setup fully, I'm not sure which specific things we could have done. Even the cross-targeting wouldn't have worked too well because the scum would be able to lie.

In Quack mafia, as I said (because as I also said I've played it before), you're supposed to cross-protect, figure out your sanities as quickly as possible, and then figure out who had to be lying.

Odds / Evens.

For example, if you did Odds / Evens with the list that's in the role assignments doc, then on N1, 1 and 2 cross protect, 3 and 4 cross, etc etc

So N1:

Kublai and Paranoid daycop survive (Kublai roleblocks Paranoid)
drshotgun and maruchan survive (shotgun roleblocks maru)
manho kills bunnylover
trojan kills mattP (1 scum down)
me and Zdenek both survive (Zdenek roleblocks me)
Wraith and Sean both survive (Sean protects Wraith)
myko and mneme both survive unless NK'd (both naive)
mafia-n00b and kdowns survive
BK201 kills Nobody Special

Day 2, Wraith would have been last scum standing

AND THAT'S WHY YOU FUCKING CROSS PROTECT IN QUACK MAFIA

Amusing notes:

KK targeting for myself on N5 resulted in his own death because he stopped fm from protecting him. :)
Poor Seanald helped the mafia more than anyone. Bad luck on protecting two mafia in three nights right up front.
manho made it end-game and never got a successful kill despite being a quack (assuming there's not a problem with N4/N5 as noted by me and Matt above).

@kuribo: Like I said, only works if everyone does it. I did target kdowns like I was supposed to, though. :)

Hrmmm...whoops. I think I got it in my head that Quack = Naive...all the other Quack and Naive docs were dead so early in the game that it never registered on me. >.< So yea, this should probably be counted as a town win. Oops.
