I think I have a good way for my side to win this game, but it will not work until we have someone die, and because nobody is dead, it will not work. therefore, I am voting a no lynch so that we can have night choices, people will die, and I can (hopefully) set my plan into action.

That's nice. For you. And your side.

There's a slight snack though - how do we know whether we are on your side or not?

Besides, your plan could be as flawed as "If 2 people from the other side die, mass claim and start lynching the other side."

If we don't know what that plan is, there's no way we can know for sure if it will work, put aside the fact that you could be in the other team, and your plan is more or a gamble than lynching someone randomly among people that are not me.

Er bigben, you know that if we lynch someone, you get a death anyway and your plan still works?

unvote, vote bigbenwd

Not being able to claim sexuality makes it tough (although quite realistic in 39 states), but I think that Ben needs to clarify what he means, and why his plan will work for only his side.

It *IS* a horrible one, but it's going to be what happens. Let's just say Ben is straight. And there's two straight that die overnight. I mean, isn't the game over right then and there? All the gay are going to claim (I'm sure you can claim role/name and get your point across) and the gay mafia aren't going to claim that they're mafia, and game over....

...unless some straight claim gay. Then we're back to weeding out individuals, only we have to kill a whole side rather than just a mafia group. And mass role claims will be the ONLY way to go.

*sigh* This game is looking dimmer and dimmer.

I thought it was bleeding obvious that in that scenario everyone would claim to be gay. Which nullifies the whole strategy.

I wouldn't mind going no lynch because the only way I can see for this game to actually get out of day 1 is to lynch someone for no reason or vote no lynch.

*Agrees with DP*, which makes it all the more important that from my perspective, I try to get good reads on who's not on my team
today
, before one side has an advantage over the other. Hency my claiming. But debate seems to have died down on that topic, and I don't feel like I have anywhere
near
enough information yet, so what the heck?

Unvote, Vote: bigbenwd

Er Bigben, you know we can't claim sexuality, right?

And supposing we could, what if everyone claimed the same orientation? Your plan is the superdumb.

...I think this game is a little too nuts. I'm starting to enjoy it now. ROFL.

And to think people picked on my "ICE-9 style" mafia game.

Yeah DP, that's exacly why I said that his plan could be "flawed as" mass claim, and I am not surprized it was the plan, since I couldn't come up with any other plans myself.

see, I'm just the only one who told the plan, not the only one who was thinking it (this game has major mechanical flaws, but oh well)

3- bigbenwd- (Quagmire, Prizm, mathcam)
2- Mathcam ( Talitha, Werebear)
1- Vraak X (Dragon Phoenix)
1- Medicated Lain (Dementia Blader)
1- Leonardo 007 (Stewie)

Let me clarify that "only a townie" isn't really a good argument. It's just as good if he's mafia, unless you happen to know what team he's on (and he happens to be on the opposite one from you).

Can you explain why a town would be just as good to kill as a mafia? I figure that since the mafia are more powerful on the first day it would be better to kill a townie just to get things started.
