I'd also note that there was a pretty reasonable chance that the day doc got in a successful protect (scum had no way of knowing such a role existed and could get caught taking the "obvious" shot depending how day one went down), which really hurts scum, both because of the lack of a kill and potentially cause it'd confirm a townie given a failed kill.

Also the 3p is either gonna hit scum and bow out, or hit town with a major chance of townsiding heavily, plus there are other claimable town PRs... I.e.

hmm, i actually think so. detective is key town role but scum have lots of chances to kill that.

most likely one team will start to roll and the other side will comlain about balance but I think it's mainly swing here

I think my review comment was accurate. An early scum lynch makes it BRUTAL on the other scum (especially if they miss PRs early), while the town PRs dropping like flies without any scum lynches means it gets rough on town before too long.

Swing here was HUGE (town power was more than usual concentrated in one specific role which was outed day one), but swingy != scumsided. Scum had one fewer than normal and town had a BUNCH of claimable/demonstrable power roles. This game could very potentially have been a day two town win if things went the right way (scum are SCREWED with a day one lynch if the d2 dayvig among other things); the sheer possibility of that result was a big deal.

Day kill was conditional (day doc saving tth would have CRUSHED scum, who had no idea it existed, except day doc holstered), half of town was PR (all provable), the 3p could townside, etc etc. town had a LOT of weapons that ended up not really getting used, and scum had one fewer member than usual. So yeah I'd say both sides had a lot of potential power, scum played much better in day phase and wrt power and kill decisions.

Their roles were confirmabke but they weren't useful more were they more Town than scum roles.
Notscience had the most useful role and it didn't get used

I don't think this was even swingy it was just poor designed imo.
I don't think scum should have more than one day kill.
You could have removed notscience saves and then you still give Town one extra mislynch which grreafly improves balance.

For all he knew Town had a bunch of day vigis so he shouldn't save anyone.
