One thing I expected to be pretty big strategically was the idea of partial funding of roles so that scum would have to decide to risk killing a cop that 75% would get a result who might be 40-50% protected.
But not a single person has even seemed to consider such a usage of roles.

Not that I'm some kind of mechanical mastermind but a gambit like that seems as likely to backfire as to succeed?
No matter what happens, I'll be right there with you.
its not really a gambit, if you half fund the doc and make it be known that you half fund the doc scum has a choice to make. If they try to kill the cop they risk a successful protect which can essentially mech clear both the doc and the cop. The threat of doc is almost as powerful as the doc itself, which might cause them to target someone else entirely.

Considering my death if cop/doc is funded tonight would be incredibly sus of either treasurer / JOAT with Doc I would think that's fine imo. it would at least guarantee a 1 v 1 between the two.
The only reason for me to claim my ability usage would be if there is a hard need later on to track what happened, but right now all it does is confirm for scum whether or not the most powerful ability of the role has been used, because it's one scum have to play around.
She later asks for SK to reconfirm he copped me. I took it as a claim of her action when only I know that the Council member JOAT had a track at that point.
