Querc: 24 hours is up. I hate it when a game gets this far along and stalls, though this one sputtered all the way.

I'm thinking Antrax might have been on to something when he was talking about the inactive mafia slowing down the nights. Mith was almost as inactive as mole has been. He didn't post during the first few RL days of night two, and a couple of times on the 19 & 20th (Night two ended on the 21st.)

Mole didn't post at all during night two and night three.

Then again, I'd still like to know who killed Jeep - and I'm concerned about him possibly having made a convert to the cult.

I am replacing Mole, but I need a little time to read through ten pages of possible drivel.. ;)
Hopefully I'll post something intelligent tomorrow (wouldn't that be an interesting change:) )

vote: town loses

I warned you. I have no words to describe how happy I am with this turnout of events. Keep eliminating the people who contribute, it's a rock-solid strategy.

Bah. I'm adjudicating this. Antrax in a sense is right; this should be a learning experience. But not only for the players; for the Mod as well. If I run another Minvitational (subject to players telling me they're still interested and will continue playing, as well as myself finding some replacements or writing ten-person schemes,) there will be strict penalties for not talking. Everything went well in Games 1 and 2. This game people lost interest, especially because of the holiday season.

mole hasn't spoken or eaten in days. He dies. Same with Jalyn. She dies.
Quailman and DP are stricken with remorse for all the dead, and join a monastery. Since there's no one left in the Town, no one wins. The game is drawn.

• Jalyn was Mafia, with a one-shot 'let's see if someone has used their ability yet' ability.
• mole Townie, one-shot-Doctor, never used
• Quail Townie, one-shot-Cop, used on Sofis (innocent)
• DP Townie, one-shot-Paranoid, used Night 2.

• mith was Mafia, with a one-shot drain role ability and a one-shot framing ability he used on jeep to make jeep appear Cultish and the kill Ninjaish.
• IS was the Saboteur, with an interference ability which stopped the kill Night 1 and a one-shot-randomize choices ability he never used.
• jeep was Townie, with a one-shot Governor.
• Werebear was Townie, with a one-shot transmogrify
• Samadhi was Townie, with a one-shot gossip which all the Mafia heard as well as his target, and to which the Mafia could respond, sending whatever messages they liked and generally looking innocent.
• Antrax was Townie, one-shot vest.
• Sofis was Townie, one-shot kill, used on mith.
• Soothsayer was Townie, one-shot steal night choice, never used.

(By the way, even though no one technically wins, Quail and DP may consider themselves the closest thing to or exactly winners.)

I think the setup was OK, but too many players simply did not play (for a variety of reason) and the holiday season did not help either.

It's a pity it ended this way, because the endgame was very interesting. Mole/Jesternl cannot claim their real role - because that leaves Jalyn with the obvious vigilante claim, which I for one would have blindly believed.

I am game to continue these games, but only with players who really play.

I even told Jalyn to claim it, I don't know why she didn't. Sorry for my lack of participation early on, but as you may have noticed on the GL, I'm on an insane amount of time lately; I'm up for game 4, if there's enough people who'll actually play. I wonder why mole keeps disappearing from things, he's done this in several different games over the past year or so.

(Oh, we used the one-shot drain on Antrax on the first night, one reason I was defending him a bit :))

I'm still up for game 4, but seriously, this game gets a huge "I told you so". I went over it, there was absolutely no reason to believe I'm mafia. It's just convenient to lynch whoever sticks his neck up.
Again kudos to mith for avoiding the radar. I think I'll start voting him on a regular basis ;)
Why wasn't there a kill on night one?

I'd like to see some really participating players invited for a next one (Corsato, MeMe, CubanSmoker, Saberkitty for instance).

Here's my suggestion. I'll take whoever from the Minvitational who promises to talk, and then some people from your list (ambic would also participate.)

If we want to make it faster at night as well, I have a 12 player scheme with no nights. That is, all night choices are somehow accomplished without a dead period (locked thread, etc.) Lynch is followed by kill is followed by next day.

Yes/no/maybe/so?

I'd talk, but maybe you should let one of the players on that list join in my place.

A) I hadn't said anything because the last game related post (ie: not "I'll talk later" or "No one is talking") was mine and I was kind of waiting for something new to happen...

B) Mith, I felt that stating that I had lied in my prior role claim and was really the vigilanty would have been too risky - especially seeing as we didn't know if Quailman had gotten what Sofis' ability was. If Quailman knew Sofis was the vig, I'd have been in trouble had a claimed it. I thought I could get through the day without a risky role claim, so why jeapordize that?

I'll still play. Last 3 days have been slow for me, but I think I generally participate. :)
