When I was young, my family decided to move towns for my father's career. I hated it so much I used to go whole days not talking to anyone as a personal protest. The first year at school, my only friend was a girl called Aya, a Japanese exchange student. She was quiet and didn't speak much English, I think that's why I liked her. I remember watching a cartoon one day where they had someone pinned to a big wheel, and someone would throw knives, narrowly avoiding them. When my parents went out, we spent the rest of the day throwing knives at my posters on the wall - we got caught in the end, and my parents banned Aya from coming over to our house. All of my friendships have sucked since then.
