OK, Tapioca Mafia ended today, so finally I can talk about it.
I had a similiar situation come up where Khelvaster outed himself and 1 of his partners. What I ended up doing was essentially ignore him and allow the game to play on. It was fortunate that the other players never gave up. I think that is a key point. You can never out yourself until the mod declares the game over. In this particular case, Khelvaster's outed scumbuddy was an investigation immune Godfather and ended up winning the game. Both names that Khelvaster said were his scumbuddies were in the final 3.

All in all though, this play really sucks. The game ended up being salvaged, but there's really no reason for this type of move to be made. If it doesnt actually break a game, it sets up the situation for it to

be

broken. I know that it will influence my willingness to bring in certain players into games that I mod.

This was for WIFOM purposes. I knew I was going to get lynched. I figured I would out Shanba, a very solid, yet quiet player, and Aimee, a one-hit wonder, as my scumbuddies.

1. I trusted Shanba knew what he was doing and could get Aimee lynched first if the town believed me. If Aimee got through as town d2, they would be unlikely to follow her up with Shanba.

2. The town would WIFOM me, get confused, and ultimately do less well than if I had never posted that. This is what ended up happening. Regardless, I didn't out both my scumbuddies--it was a gambit, and it paid off.
