It's not like I didn't say other stuff. :P

There's not much I can say for my first day statement. I was wrong, but it doesn't make me scum. It only means I'm not so good picking out mafia on the first day. I honestly didn't find anything Lystrodom had said to be suspicious, whereas I thought I had seen "the least bit suspicious" behavior from CB.

As for "voting for whoever is the most voted for at the time." I have voted three times before now. The first time was, unfortunately, for the bandwagon opposite the bandwagon against the Mafia Godfather. The second time was for DS, who had less votes than Diplomat, who turned out to be a Townie. The third time was unfortunately for that Townie, Diplomat, but it was because I saw the DS bandwagon wasn't going anywhere, and because Gaspode, who I believed was innocent, was the other forerunner for lynching.

Hope you find that to be a more acceptable defense, Werebuddy.

Hmmm...I'm partly convinced. Or am I just a push-over? That could be the case. I have to confess to not having seen nuch suspicious about Lystrodom's actions either....and I even said this, so my attack on this point was not extremely strong. I should apologize...the claim "voting for whoever is the most voted for at the time" was off-hand and approximate, and not rigorously calculated. I'm still more suspicious of you than Blicero, though, so I'll leave my vote until someone (possibly, Mike, yourself) provides me a better target.

That was the only (deliberate) mistake. Gaspode is dead, I was just checking that you were paying attention

MeMe wrote:I mean, why on earth would cp think he would need protection? His two targets (gaspode & diplomat) were pro-town, so there's certainly no reason for mafia to want him dead -- even if he's innocent, he's been their good little helper.

This is so far beyond illogical I didn’t think I really needed to answer it. I’d asked for the protection before either of their roles had been revealed, when they both still very much looked like scum. And, at the time, I had been the only one using logic of any sort in my accusations. Just because it turned out they had been posting suspiciously as townies instead of mafia, is no reason to find complaint with my logic. In fact, there have still been no complaints about my logic. How can you cast doubt on my methods like this, MeMe, when you seemed to have absolutely no problem with my accusations before?

And as answer to the point that’s actually somewhat sensible, I haven’t been posting lately because I’ve been busy. I’ve had enough spare time to read the games, but not enough to analyze, which makes me reluctant to say anything, as I prefer to be logical. You can look at all my other games in which I likewise shut up after being talkative.

Which means I have no new suspects, yet.

Anyway, that’s all.

Oops. Sorry, I forgot that we didn't yet know the roles when you submitted your plea. No reason to get nasty, though, and to call me illogical. I mean, be objective, cp. As
logical
as you are, you have to admit that, in retrospect, your request looked scummy -- especially factoring in your silence. I'm surprised that since you claim to have been reading the game that you didn't take the two minutes to pop in and tell us you were currently a bit busy.
casinopete wrote:How can you cast doubt on my methods like this, MeMe, when you seemed to have absolutely no problem with my accusations before?
Well, I didn't have a "problem" with them -- I always love it when people talk. But, if you'll notice, I never followed your recommendations. Just because I didn't "complain" doesn't mean that you should infer that I was special-ordering a banner reading "Paragon of Sense" with which to festoon you. Yeah, you were literate, but you were still wrong. See? Logic ain't everything, apparently.

However, I'll give you the benefit of my doubt for now.

And I'm sorry, folks...I know I said I'd refrain for a
few
days...but almost two days is close enough, isn't it? After all, I was killed in my mini and Ankh-Morpork's in its night phase and-and-and...well...I'm a junkie. OK. I've admitted it. And that's half the battle.

I suppose it won't hurt for me to blather a bit then.

I'm suspicious of ellid and werebear. I've been reading over their posts, and most of them are either "me too" posts or so wishy-washy they muddy the waters more than anything. Posting just enough not to be lynched for absence while staying away from dangerous things that could draw suspicion smacks of scumminess. It isn't enough to convict, but it's enough for me to

Eh, I'm already doing one "vote for the quiet ones" crusade in Mafia 8, so I'm gonna keep my vote on Mike, since I also wasn't convinced by his "sure my voting record is really, really suspicious, but trust me, it's a coincidence" defense.

OK - I've got a theory. See, I was a little irritated that Trevize hasn't shown up and done his thing (playing hard to get) so that he'd give us some info tonight on Doomcow. Then I realized that it would be impossible for Trevize to disagree with Doomcow since Doomcow hasn't shown up at all today, either. I thought this was weird, so I checked on Doomcow's other games and he's been playing regularly in them... So I thought, "Huh." Either he forgot about this game (easy to do, apparently) or he's deliberately
avoiding
posting in here so that Trevize can't disagree with him and gain access to his house tonight.

My question: Would an innocent person care?

If Doomcow's having internet problems, it's game-specific. Like I said, DC's posting in other games. I just checked and Trevize has been silent everywhere since before this day dawned.

Meme, you are right, I haven't been paying to much attention to any of the games at the moment.. Mainly because I've been busy working on the best week of the year, which is next week. It's called "Carnaval" and we have to do the final touches on our act for the parade. Also I've been busy with personal things, trying to mend my relation and such. To top it all, we had an extremely succesfull weekend, beer and jenever flowed very well... But the bad result of that combination disallowed me from using the comp to much...

As for my role, I'm willing to give it, and Trevize should be able to confirm it. But I prefer to know if he gets the complete role, or just the name. If it is the complete role, we can use it to confirm each others innocence...
No you weren't there when nothing happened baby, some fool can testify. Nobody saw your nails were dirty baby, just blame the flirty vile. You've got to say the wrong words right baby, you got to tell a lie.

Mike Amok:
Did you mean Blicero, or DS?

Hmm. Frankly, I have no idea, though both would apply. I'd like to hear other people's opinions on Mike Amok...did they find the defense convincing? Or was there just not enough of an attack? The somewhat sporadic vote count isn't helping the town. To those clinging to people with one vote on them, if you have an strong opinion on who's guilty, you should be trying to convince us others to switch. Otherwise, make an informed decision based on the arguments made by other people. Or heck, vote no lynch or end day or something. I'm leaning toward Mike Amok, but could easily be convinced to someone else (Werebear, Dragon Slayer, or jadesmar, most likely), as I don't think my argument is that strong.
