Double posting for you know what.

Well, I had a nice scene all ready in my head for here but things happened and I never got around to posting it. I tried again, more things happened and when I tried for the third time, all choices were in.

So, I shall have a case of blue brains and announce that Quailman is no more with us.

People now mourn for the once mourning Diana Hunter, grand daughter of Dame Phoebe.

Day 4. Five alive, three to lynch.

There is more than one killing group alive. We're in a lynch or lose position.

Mole, who did you investigate?

I investigated Kerplunk. He was innocent. And I was attacked and protected again?

So I'm assuming Quailman was town...

Uh, mole, didn't you get a bunch of guilty results so far? Is it possible that you are insane? If so, we should look into Kerplunk today.

Wait a minute, why is Candice still alive? Wouldn't a doc be a natural first target for killing groups?

Anyway, I'm
really
suspicious of mole right now. He got a bunch of guilty results, then when we're at lynch or lose suddenly gets an innocent, and introduces this all very subltly. The result is also on the guy who Candice yesterday said she was most suspicious of, and it seems very easy to get an inadvertant lynch that way.

I've got to admit, though, I'm also suspicious of Kerplunk. He's been very quiet throughout the game, and hasn't offered much in the way of thoughts on the game. If we weren't on lynch or lose mode, I'd probably vote for him and demand a role claim.

Speaking of which, we shouldn't vote for anyone until we're sure we want to lynch them. We have at least two baddies, and they may or may not be colluding. If they are colluding, then if one townie votes for another, they'll just jump on and it's game over.

So,
FOS: Kerplunk
FOS: mole

Candice: Sorry about the confusion, I did get the PM about being attacked.

Stewie: Yeah, if Quailman is town, then I'm probably insane--I had guilty results on Tally, Norinel and Quail and they all turned out to be innocent.

JereIC: I'd love to hear your definition of "very subtly". I was asked what my results were and I answered, just like I've done on the previous two days.

I say very subltly because you give the results of your investigation without giving the conclusion that can be drawn from that result, which is that you're insane and Kerplunk is scum. Somebody who reads that and recalls your previous results comes to this conclusion, and because you haven't stated it, they feel responsible for it. In their minds, it's their conclusion, so it cannot possibly be a lie (you don't lie to yourself), so they are more likely to belive it. It's a social engineering tactic, and you're using it to get us to think you're an insane cop and that we should lynch Kerplunk.

Speaking of Kerplunk, where is he? I thought he would have posted by now.

I'm presenting the facts. Now that the town knows everything that I do, we can collectively decide what conclusions can be deduced from these results. I still don't see the point of your accusation--if I'm lying, then "I found Kerplunk innocent." is no less a lie than "I found Kerplunk innocent, so I'm insane and he's scum." The conclusion is (I think) obvious enough that if the town is paying attention, both statements are completely equivalent.

Also, I get the feeling that if I had stated that conclusion that you would still have FOSed me, for trying to get Kerplunk quick-lynched at a critical point of the game.
That
would have been irresponsible of me.

Actually, that's exactly what I would have expected of a cop in your situation; "I got that Kerplunk is innocent. I think I'm actually insane, and Kerplunk is scum, but I want to discuss it before we start a lynch. <
insert interesting and thought-provoking question of your choice here
>" The way you gave your results looks shady, as I said like a social engineering tactic.

But mole came out, without pressure, day one. I doubt that he's scum. If he is, he's played well. Too well.

I think that kerplunk should post or something, and possibly claim.

fos: kerplunk
since we shouldn't vote for him yet. But for claiming purposes, count it as a vote.

I don't know what to say. I don't think I haven't said much in this game. I can't recall JereIC or mole making strong statements either.

If you all want me to claim, I'll claim but just because Stewie and JereIC want to see I am not doing it. I definitely are thinking about JereIC as (one of the) scum. I have Candice as innocent. And about mole or Stewie I'm not sure.

Especially this statement form Stewie that mole is unlikely to be innocent because of his early claim I don't like. mole has been a bit quiet throughout this game, he hasn't said much yesterday either. It's not at all likely he's innocent. I find that a weird statement of you, Stewie.

I think I'd nail Stewie and/or JereIC down as scum.

Knowing now that Norinel WAS a doctor, that there ARE three doctors, I am NOT voting for mole. Period. End of discussion. I was willing to give up my gut feeling that Norinel really was innocent yesterday, but I'm NOT willing to ignore what, in my opinion, makes perfect sense.

I'd like Kerplunk to claim, too. I've been suspicious of him all game long.

Good points, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that one of the inspectors is bad (say, for example, mole), or that when he was looking through the literature, Phoebus found 3 doc roles he wanted and 2 cop roles, and mole has just been fabricating this all. Still, the set up appears to favor a "mole is innocent" theory.

Kerplunk, by my count everyone except you wants you to claim now.

Uh Candice, first I wouldn't expect Phoebus to put the same number of cops and docs. Wouldn't that be good for the town? It narrows the search down to half the players.

And candice, you probably already said this, but who did you protect each night? If you didn't say it already, don't say it. It's just that it's a long game, and I don't have time to check it out right now.

It narrows the search down to half the players, but, heh... We lynched a doc and a cop ANYWAY. I'm not up for trying to outguess the mod. I'm applying Occam's Razor here. We have three docs, and we have two confirmed cops, and a third unconfirmed. Give me a solid, hard reason not to believe mole, not, "Would Phoebus do that?"

My night choices, also my reasons:

Night 1: Talitha. I protected her because it was more or less random and I like her.
Night 2: mole. The first claimed cop
Night 3: Talitha (targetted twice, protection failed) The only cop who has nailed scum
Night 4: mole The last claimed cop

You know, for making us wait so long, Kerplunk's role claim better be
spectacular
. I'm talking song, dance, drama, fireworks, a dog that does tricks while riding a bear in a tutu, and a rousing musical finale where the young hero and the ravishing damsel sing a duet to eternal love as they are joined at the marriage altar by a chorus of 50 dressed in replendent white silk, followed by a cast party with confetti and balloons.

And there had better be clowns. A pox upon the house of Kerplunk if there are not clowns!

I am sorry I can't get to a computer regularly.

I am Ms. Molly Malone. I am the maid. I can follow players around the house. On the first night, I followed Fishbulb. I got a PM which said that I waited outside his room, but he didn't came out. Second night I followed Talitha, she went to mole's room. The third night I followed Norinel, who targetted Talitha. The fourth night I followed JereIC who targeted Quailman.

Now that my role is out in the open:
vote: JereIC
.

Well, you're scum.

I'm Inspector Black. My backstory is that I came up pre-game to investigate Madame Hunter's death, and even though I found her untimely passing suspect, others declared no foul play, and I couldn't do anything. I still can't do anything, and I have no night choices; I am a townie. So I couldn't have targetted Quagmire last night in any way.

Anyway,

The vote is because of the choices that are all in the thread. The FOS is because of the claim. Why claim if noone wanted you to other than kerplunk?

Anyways, I am fairly certain that kerplunk is scum, hence the vote.
