Everything is clear to you. Well, everything is kinda clear. That hangover is still making you feel crazy. Is anything anywhere? You look around. You've been here a long time and now nothing is nowhere. Makes sense right? Nothing was never anywhere, and that's why it is everywhere. So every, you don't need a where. That's how every it gets.

Do you still follow? Not really, because your existential crisis isn't solving anyone's problems. Neither is the incessant screaming happening in the backyard. More screaming? Folks have been paranoid all day. In fact, at some point, the sun dipped behind the mountains in the distance. Wasn't it morning literally five minutes ago?

Right, there is screaming. Are they screaming at the dead bodies? No, there is a commotion outside. You've never ever seen a mob of angry partygoers in your life. They are surrounding one partygoer, MaxwellPuckett. Why? I mean, sure, his name sounds like a fake alias. Oh, maybe he's not a partygoer?

"His name is fake, get him!" someone shouts as Vedith steps backwards into the pool flipping over and hitting head first. The pool starts turning red as he bleeds out. By the by, this pool has an AMAZING filter. Nearly ALL THE PARTYGOERS are dead in the pool, and it remains crystal clear.

You notice his discarded cardigan next to the pool. You pick it up and his party invitation falls out. It is real. He is...errr...was a real partygoer. Shit. You begin to feel the buzz again as you take another sip of beer. When did you get a fresh beer? And....Why do you have seven party invitations...with two of them being clearly fake? If people discovered you were invited SEVEN times, they'd be SUPER JEALOUS. Better stuff that shit down your pants and forget about it.

You blinked stupidly as the sound of splashing water wakes you up. The taste of bile lingers in your mouth. You look and see a pile of puke next to you. Good thing you didn't sleep in it.

You remember vaguely that you were at a wild party last night. You can't quite remember who the host was, or who invited you, or even where you are. Must be the hangover, right? You look around at other partygoers as they seem to wake up in a similar state of stupidity that you did. Who are they? Your friends? To be honest, you're not really sure.

It is at that moment you realize what the splashing sound was that woke you up. Someone is in the infinity pool. You look over to the pool and see a trail of blood on the concrete at the edge of the pool leading into the water. You gasp at the horror as a person is floating facedown in the water. Someone else moves faster than you and jumps in the pool to save her. That person turns her over and screams. Her face is bashed in. You vaguely recognize her. Fferyllt? Wasn't she one of the hosts?

Wait, is there a second body in the pool? Yes, there is. You don't recognize him at all. He must have not been a Partygoer. He looks like that rapper though, Lil Uzi Vert. But, who would invite him?? Oh, shit, another one in the grass! Fresh, with a knife in his back! Next to him, KidAmn, in a pool of drool and blood.

Then you see the hats floating in the pool. Little Red Fedora. Two more Partygoers, one with a knife in his back...Gamma Emerald you think, another, Whemestar drapped protectively over his body, but otherwise obviously dead. Dunnstral by the bath house, in a pool of blood. drealmerz7 also in the pool, now you notice. Then Radical Rat with a bottle of pills in his mouth, and xyzzy slumped against the tree, a knife in his back. Klazam, a knife in his back, gerryoat with the word JUSTICE written in blood beside him, MariaR impaled on a garden gnome. Vedith, dead in the water. What the fuck is going on?

Someone comes running out of the house, foaming at the mouth and a knife in his back. KuroiXHF dives face first in the garden, also dead.

"Oh no" you mouth to yourself. It makes sense to you now. There was a riot last night. Someone, or someones, are trying to kill everyone! So many dead already! You just got here! This isn't a pool party, this is a murder party. And you're going to be murdered! Unless you can put your skills to good use and find the killers.

Someone taps you on the shoulder. You realize you're the only one left. In a sea of dead bodies. You pull the knife out of Untrod Tripod, and he too, falls to the ground. The bloodlust overcomes you as you corner Podoboq, and slit his throat. You are covered in blood as you walk over to the bath house and look yourself in the mirror.

"Dramonic...why do you hate parties?" you ask your reflection, as you transform from looking like a partygoer, to that of a crazied monster.

You may use any 1-shot ability you acquire the following night.

Factional Abilities

Each night, one member of your squad may be designated to kill a player. You cannot use your active ability and kill in the same night (unless you are the last remaining player on your team).

You are Shy, and cannot utilize Daytalk. You will be unable to see and post in your Mafia PT during the day as long as Daytalk is available to all players. If Daytalk ever becomes unavailable, you'll be able to see the locked Mafia PT during the day.

Factional Abilities

Each night, one member of your squad may be designated to kill a player. You cannot use your active ability and kill in the same night (unless you are the last remaining player on your team).

As a Shapeshifter you are able to receive and use the Amnesiac Roles in the same way members of the Town are able to. During the Dawn Phase, you will receive an additional PM with your new ability.

As a Vanillizer, one per game during the night phase you may turn the Amnesiac role you've received during the Dawn Phase into a Vanilla Amnesiac permanently, OR you may target another player to turn the role they currently possess into a Vanilla Amnesiac. You may not use your Amnesiac Role's active ability, if any when you do this.

Factional Abilities

Each night you may designate a member of your team to perform your Ninja factional kill. However, ALL members of your team must forgo the use of any active or passive abilities they currently have in order for this to happen.

As a Cop, you may check another player to find out whether they are a Partygoer or not. You will get a result of Partygoer or Not Partygoer.

As a Macho kind of person, you don't need any protection! Any protection ability placed on you will fail.

PLAYER - Amnesiac Loyal Hider

Active Ability

As a Hider, you may target another player to Hide behind. Any active ability that affects them also affects you. If you hide behind a person aligned with a non-Town Faction, they will kill you instead. That kill's flavor will be Ganked.

As a Loyal person, if you target a player who doesn't share your alignment, your action will fail and you will not be told of this.

Active Ability

Each night you may choose which player receives this role next. You may choose any player, living or dead, and you may choose yourself. If you choose a player who is unable to receive this role for any reason, your action will be redirected to yourself. If you cannot be targeted with your own action for any reason, the role will be randomly distributed instead.

Passive Ability

As a Loud person, any player who is targetted with an active ability by you will be told that you targeted them, but will not be told what active ability you targetted them with. You will not be told if you target yourself, and if the Lender role is randomly distributed that player will not be told.

Good game all around. It was close. A few mistakes were made, notably, no one doing anything about UT. Not even the Shapeshifters.

I designed this game with a few things in mind. First, I expected people to actually try to scrutinize the first game, so that's why the Shapeshifters were introduced. They had the advantage of also receiving the Amnesiac roles (where the Mafia just got them as fakeclaims), but the disadvantage of having one less member, and having to choose between whether the faction kills, or they use their 1-shot abilities or Amnesiac roles. That is also why Shapeshifters could endgame at 3p (where as the mafia could endgame as soon as 6p). The mafia were able to fakeclaim, while actually getting to use all their abilities. I thought this duality between the teams was nice, and I think it worked well.

The town had a lot of power early in the game, and it went away as the game wore on. This is by design, since anti-town factions get weaker as their members get picked off. It is too bad no one pounced on UT on Day 2. Firebringer had him dead to rights. It might have been the first step to a town victory had you done it.

Yes. Podoboq, as the only remaining town, could no longer meet his win condition. I decided against allowing kingmaker scenarios, hence the rules the state the game ends when town can't meet their win condition. I know the semantic argument is that the 3 players could no lynch and then scum could cross kill, but I decided early on we're not playing that out.

Because Podo could not meet his win condition, it was down to UT and Dramonic. Shapeshifters were given win condition superiority, thus Dramonic achieved his. Shapeshifters win condition specifically included the phrase 'you win...even if something can prevent this'. Whereas Mafia is 'you win...unless something can prevent this'.

The lovers not outting Gerry for about 3 days was also another missed opportunity, you're right. The town had 3 out of 5 scum nailed by Day 2.

Yeah, I understand Gamma and Wheme not saying anything at first because it would result in two town deaths, but then it looked like they were certain Wheme would eat a nightkill anyway, so why not just say something?

I'm OK with this. I legit would have thought we had only one scum left and lynched dramonic, though. I still thought UT was functionally conftown. It didn't cross my mind that he would have fake claimed bodyguard, then had that corroborated by town.

I standardized a lot of things on purpose. For example you may be wondering, 'why didn't gerry die on night 1'? Well, in order for his faction to use their nightkill, they must forgo the use of all active and passive abilities, as well as Amnesiac roles. Lover was an Amnesiac role, and the 'lover ability' itself was a passive ability. Had the Shapeshifters decided to do anything else Night 1, gerry would have been killed.
