There is nothing to defend. Your cases on me are baseless and revolves solely around the fact that Mr.Mean in his dying moments made a rash vote, not thinking of the ramifications of his role.
Here's my challenge to you all: show me where I have been scummy.
Lynch me and we lose. Your call.This. Is. SPARTA!

Final Vote Count of Day 4
d3sisted 4 (DeathSauce, Boing, Zeppo, Max)
Not Voting 2 (d3sisted, killerbob)
That's a lynch!
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know you can count me out
Acting on their cop's dying wish, the town quickly turn ond3sisted. "I wuz framed!" he cries as he is cuffed and dragged to the gallows. The crack of the trapdoor signals his end, resolute to the last.
The town's joy is shortlived, though - a hasty search of his person provides none of the expected evidence of his mafia associations. All he seems to have in his pockets are tomato seeds. It would appear that he was just atownieafter all.
Max smiles: "I was always more of a Rolling Stones man myself." Three gunshots ring out in the dusk.DeathSauce, Boingandkillerbobhit the dirt in quick succession, holes neatly drilled in their foreheads. Looks like it will be destruction that wins out after all...
d3sisted, Townie, Lynched Day 4.
DeathSauce, Boing and killerbob, Townies, killed in endgame.
The Mafia (Max, skitzer and Zeppo) win the game!Last edited by Erg0 on Thu Nov 08, 2007 7:21 pm, edited 1 time in total."You were doing well until everyone died."

Wow, cop really screwed this one up. Mean - once you softclaimed like that everyone, especially mafia, knew what you were hinting at. The difference is mafia knew you weren't scum and town didn't. Therefore if you weren't getting lynched you would have been NKed - you were dead either way. The best thing to do there is just come out and claim cop with your investigations. Even if you got 3 innocents, two were still alive, which means that guarantees that people know 2 innocents and they know you didn't get guilty on d3. You're playing scummy was a great way to not get NKed but you may have taken it a bit too far. Also, investigating me N2 after I handed the town skitz - there could have been better choices there. Oh, well - learning from your mistakes is the best way.
For the town after I died, just because I was right on one person doesn't make me right on the others. You shouldn't have lynched him so quick, especially with him hinting at cop. I didn't help much I guess but I was only hinting cop to get NKed to get the cop one more day of investigation, which didn't work out very well. I knew it was either d3 or Mean, but mean seemed really scummy so I figured it was d3, especially with him going after Neraren consistently D2, thought he had a guilty, hence my suspicion of Neraren.
Overall good game for scum, but you got lucky cop acted like he did.
Good game all.-

Well, guess I was kinda close. Good game, everyone.
Thanks for a well modded game, ErgO, for staying on top of the votecounts and replacements.
As for Mean... meh. You're new, so I hope you learned something from this game.
Basically, we lost our only advantage over the scum, and that was a cop with headstart. Ultimately, this cost us the game.This. Is. SPARTA!

First off, thanks to all the players for keeping the game active throughout and making my life fairly easy. I was pretty happy with the pace and posting level of this game relative to some other 12 player games.
It's definitely true that Mr. Mean didn't take the best option with his play on Day 3. The speculative vote on d3sisted wasn't so bad, but a full claim would definitely have been the best course of action. The town still would have had some work to do from that point, but a cop should never, everallow themselves to be lynched without claiming in an open game.
Other than that, the level of play was pretty decent throughout and I was actually pleasantly surprised by the flow of the game given the scarcity of power roles in the setup. I'm starting to think that having fewer power roles in games may actually be a partial solution to the massive lurking that occurs in a lot of closed minis.
Thankyou and goodnight!"You were doing well until everyone died."

I don't agree that it was entirely your fault, but giving your results when you were about to be lynched would have been valuable, even though they were innocents. Two confirmed townies means two fewer potential lynch targets, plus the town would have had a shot at lynching someone other than you (hopefully scum) on day 3 if they believed your claim.
As a general principle, you should always claim your power role before you're lynched, if only to give the town a chance to reconsider."You were doing well until everyone died."

I believe I should also share some of the blame. (I'm assuming I'm allowed to post now that the game's over, right?)Mr. Mean wrote:Oh, blame it on me. All of my searches were on townies, so what was I suposed to do!?!
I managed to anger quite a few people very quickly and put a huge target on my back, therefore putting the town at a quick disadvantage down one townie after Day 1.-

Kidding.
I'd say Max did pretty well staying under the radar and all there, so he takes scum MVP...
Town MVP is alot harder to choose, but i think it should go to Competentpsycho for staying on top of that scum wagon. It's a shame you were killed off N2.This. Is. SPARTA!
