I was skim reading the flavor, how was i...

this makes me sad and was really against the rules, there were crucial things in flavor...but it's over now

I honestly read the flavor in my role PM (because I knew doing so was important) and just skimmed the rest as was necessary to find the important details (because I had good reason--justifiably so--to believe it wasn't that important): things like noting role PMs and methods of death. Beyond that, I recognized it as "This is good flavor", but I was only going to spend as much time on it as necessary.

This is something to be expected. A moderator who writes flavor should always expect it to be 90% skimmed. When I write Scummy-worthy flavor for my games (people seem to forget that I do this since every game I've run this year has been deliberately flavorless essentially), I don't write it expecting players to read it. I provide it as a bonus, as a labor of love, I provide it for those who want to read it, but I know that in spite of the time and effort I put in people mostly won't.

(Which, incidentally, is why I keep the important details of my roles in such game in separate tags at the end of the role PM, so there's a hard separation between flavor and role, allowing those who can't be assed to read to just skip to the bottom and find it. An alternative method would be placing the flavor in a spoiler tag, but I prefer not to because I prefer quoting a whole role PM WITHIN spoilers in places I post role PMs.)
