I completely agree with mizzy's analysis of phate. Active-lurker is written all over him for me as well, although, lurker doesn't always mean scum (as was pointed out by mizzy with scum attacking lurkers for easy kills).

At the moment, I feel a bit like if I don't ask people to scumhunt, they won't. I also think getting people to analyse each other is potentially more revealing than just stating my opinion. I do see how you could view it that way, but I took care to give my own opinion afterwards, last time, which was somewhat different from Mizzy's.

That's fair, and I agree. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing you're doing, but the possibility of it being malicious is there, and I wanted to make sure people recognized that and proceeded with caution.

Also, as Mizzy is one of a handful of actual contributors instead of those lurking or slinging around irrelevant arguments, I don't find her that suspicious anymore. Back to neutral you go.

I feel that the town has a strong bias towards people actually participating, there is a possibility that that majority of scum are those that are lurking. I do not need to say that this is incredibly bad for town as deadline closes in.

It also seems like an arduous task to make lurkers post enough to glean their alignment in that time.

I for one condone a lurker lynch at this point, and agree that the most of the scum are probably lurking. (I mean, it's either that or a crazy alliance of Trustgossip, mizzy and MoS)

I know you didn't actually ask me but here's my input. I like Thin_Man for a true lurker lynch (which I don't prefer) and Phate for an active-lurker-scum lynch (which I do prefer.)

I'd MUCH prefer if the true lurkers were prodded square in the face with a mallet and/or replaced with very small perl scripts.
