Baby Jesus is making sense here. Pooky may or may not be scum, but I have no problem with putting a little pressure there, and was going to vote Pooky myself, until I saw this little post. What's so suspicous about this? It seems to me Pooky was going to give ambic the benefit of the doubt since he thought ambic was new to the game. When he found he wasn't, pooky voted him. Perfectly reasonable, considering how much no lynches hurt the town.

I think you just naturally think I'm scum every game....

It's not a hard and fast rule...but come on. I would say at least 80% of the time, you will find your scum in those just coasting by, avoiding notice. yea, you have your occasional scum that rises up to try and lead the town. But that just draws attention to yourself, be it a cop view, serial killer shot, or a chance you slip up. Which is why most scum don't do that.

PLUS - here we go again. You disagree with my theory, and you vote for me. WTF? Do you think everyone that isn't a rolandofthepink clone is scummy? Grow up.

I didn't disagree with your theory. I'm just saying that that excuse is used by scum quite a bit ("Now why on earth would I do something so scummy? I'm not that stupid?"), and I find it odd you are defending it so much.

And as for the 80% thing, that's all well and good, but let's not forget the other 20%.

Ummm...it wasn't a real post.

If you're waiting for someone to scream, "I'm scum, lynch me!", you will likely be sorely disappointed when you play mafia.

Of course, that very well could be what you're doing now (the screaming, not the playing).

The point is that you shouldn't vote with someone because they propose a theory you don't agree with, you shold vote for someone if they're acting in a way that you think scum would be more likely to act then in a way you think town would be likely to act. So, again, why do you think Baby Jesus is more likely to be scum then anyone else?

I don't really want to vote spork for being spork or ambic for being ambic, and I think trying to determine whether or not they are scummy from (an apparently) consistent style of play is just going to lead to WIFOM-style logic. I assume we have cops-they have natural targets to investigate.

Wow. Coron really hasn't been posting anything. Although he's been like that in all games recently. He could use a kick in the ass too.

My point in going after spork like that wasn't to get him lynched. I just want him to actually post content so we have something to evaluate. There was an argument. At least he should acknowledge it.

As for ambic, I'll admit I haven't played with him before, but he seems intelligent enough to know better than to suggest we go straight to a no lynch day 1.

This early in the game I don't have much to go off of. I usually stay that way for a while in large games. I'll try to keep posting some. Have fun with that catching scum stuff I'll tell you if I see something worthy of my note.

For those of you accusing me, I understand you have crap to go off of so I don't really mind so much. Pooky is still a magical scum.

Would it help I said I never intended to go to no lynch on day 1, I just put it there and voted the first person to complain.

Then I was asked (as I intended someone to do) to explain.

And look at the conversation it generated.

And look what happened when i stopped pushing it. Where has the conversation gone?
