i made, undoubtedly my biggest, a major mod error on night 4.
not only was Dethenor not supposed to die, but THeoden also shoudl not have died. a double mod error, a massive blow to the town (from which they recovered wonderfully) i apologise profusely, and please, leon, dont let this tarnish your victory, claiming faramir was a great move.

I did find it surpsrising that Phoebus did not have a role name. In the e-mail conversations we had during Night 1 I already proposed Ioreth as a possible role claim. Maybe that would have worked better than my actual claim. Surprisingly most players found Bergil unlikely to be in the game when I thought it very dangerous to claim him as I expected him to be almost certain in the game.

oh, dethenor was case by case insane.
gandalf is a threat to his rulership, etc, based on the novel.
however, if he did find someone as good,they were definately good., ie - orcs, oliphauints, men of khand and harad, and angmar did not ever come back good.

I think there was no way for the town to win the endgame, although they did an excellent job. Phoebus was so convincing, and Mathcam was so carefull, - voting, unvoting, reading again and again - that they deserved better odds. But by that time, the town was screwed because of the identical 'Warden' role claims, some inconsistencies, and the Faramir empty spot. Faramir was really key in this setting.

PS: Angbor was a good claim - but arguably, it would not have resisted a Faramir claim. I don't know...

ben, you didnt investigate leonidas, you did investigate the following:
night 1 - zoneace
night 2 - bananabob
night 3 - thoth
night 4 - Mathcam (you died night 4)

cam - i have no idea how scalebane managed that claim, i was peronsally amazed when he made it, getting the ability right and everything.

the gates- i have a basic map of minas tirith, (arial/plan veiw) with the gates on it. each character was placed according to the book, well all th epro town characters. as stated in the introduction, some evil characters had infiltrated the city. the men of khnad, and angmar were holed up in the house of the dead (technically on the 6th level, as that is where the entranc eto the pasway is)
the haradrim were in the first circle, the orcs were outside (finding it hard to blend in) as was the oliphaunt. this was to prevent beregond going to the first gate al the time.
also outside the city were any rohan characters. (theoden, eowyn, merry) and gimli, legolas)
the healer and aragorn were in the houses of healing, level 6 (i know aragorn shouldnt have been there, but he did snea into the city to heal merry and co)
on level 7 was gandalf, pippin, dethenor was in the tower itself.
i think thats everyone.
everyone who passed under the gate beregond (oh, he was level 7 also)was watching he was told passed under the gate. no mention of alignment.

Great game. My role was strange- never been anything like it. It was more hard to not kill other scum then it was to just stay alive without any help from fellow scum people- who may have even been highly for my lynching.
