Hmm, perhaps even as a new dictator comes along, a new runner of the Dictatorthon would come about, as well. Just a thought, you know.

Myes, another good point of the Dictatorthon is that it might reveal who it is best for the dictator to remove. Just another though.

Also note that you may choose to compete in the Dictatorthon at any time. I am starting this now because want to be sure we all have enough time to choose the right compedetor.

Dictatorthon - Task 1

The first thing I would like all those competing to do is write what the first thing you would do if elected dictator. I know some of you have brushed about the subject previously, but I would like to give you all the chance to formally state what it is exactly you plan to do first.

So far, Occam, Jebus, and Gorrad are the only ones competing. I encourage more of you to post "compete" and immediately begin the first task. Deadline will be in 24 hours, more or less.

Let it be known that in the intermost center of my heart, regardless to what it is you see on this forum, that I address you all as Ladies and Gentlemen (and now Exotic Animals of all ages, as Orange corrected me. I am sorry for not aknowledging you before, so allow me to say, to those of you who consider yourselves Exotic Animals, that I aknowledge you with open arms! ^_^ (Please note that "Exotic Animals of all ages" does not imply that I do not accept Ladies or Gentlemen of certain ages; I would only like to stress my openess to these Exotic Animals that are foreign to me.)).

I'd probably just sit back and throw out some meat for you guys to fight over so I can get a good look at who seems scummy enough to kill. Then call them out, get a few second opinions, and repeat (or execute). No need to make it complicated.

I'd do majority system, yeah, but I wouldn't execute until close to deadline- AKA the person with the most votes at deadline, not whoever reaches majority first. An excellent deal with this system is that it pretty much stops quicklynches.

First things first [well, second I guess...];

Pushing for the dictator role is NOT scummy, it is a desirable role to have and as scum would weild like a double edged sword, really. On the one side you get a modicum of control over the town - however you also place yourself under the microscope where everything you do and say will be looked at with a fine tooth comb. So pushing for that role is in no way a scum tell - IMO.

Next up;

Should I be elected as your dictator, you shall find me a fair and noble judge. I promise to do your bidding since that will essentially be my job, however, given that my thought process has been pulled up in the past as skewed or completely alien to others [it's the art background, makes for some rather funky and non-linear thinking], I will be taking it upon myself to look at the points of view expressed by my subordinates in a different manner than a lot of you are used to.

I think that would be helpful to you as we all know that sometimes it takes someone who is thinking outside of the box to give us a different point of view on a situation [or in my case, in the circle next to the box with my 3D glasses on].

Since I'd feel odd electing myself for the campaign, I will
