It is the depths of winter, and a group of travellers are snowed in at a hostelry. In order to alleviate their boredom, they have decided to assign each other speech restrictions when communicating with members of the group. What they don't know is that a small unit of sadistic killers lurk amongst their number, and will stop at nothing until the rest of the group are deceased! OUCH!
1.) This game is a daystart. However there will be activity prior to the start of day one: see below. All players are able to confirm by posting in thread.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes must be in the form Vote: Player otherwise they won't be counted. Players do not need to unvote when switching their votes, but it would be appreciated. All votes and unvotes must be in bold. It is also possible to vote no-lynch.
3.) When a player (or abstract concept) reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. No discussion takes place during the night, except amongst roles who have been given specific permission to do so.
4.) This game will have automatic deadlines of
one month for day one
, and
three week for all days thereafter.
I will grant a single extension of one week should a majority of players request it in thread. Should the deadline hit without a majority being achieved, there will be no lynch. [NOTE: due to the holidays, I am not counting the week beginning the 22nd of December at all in terms of the deadline].
5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role specifically permits it.
6.) Once dead, you stop posting. A bah post is fine though.
7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
8.) Try to post as often as possible. Treat the game as a committment. If you go inactive, you will be replaced.
9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time.
10.) Do not make verbally abuse any participants of this game at any point. This is a game, and I will not tolerate childish insults. Any personal attacks will result in punishments-up to and including Modkills.
11.) Do not in any way quote or fakequote your role PM. This is a modkillable offence. Any attempt to ascertain another players' role from the wording of their PM will be dealt with likewise.

. You'd do pretty much anything to prevent the killers from getting away with it, but unfortunately all you have available are your voice, your wits and your vote. Oh, and your post restriction. Mustn't forget the post restriction.
You win when no members of antitown factions are alive, and at least one pro-town role is still breathing.
Specific post-restriction related rules:
13. All players will have a post restriction. A first breach of a player's restriction will result in my sending them a warning PM. A second restriction will result in a warning in-thread. A third will result in modkill.
14. Day one will be preceded by confirmations, and once these are all in, a drafting phase, during which players will select which other player they will restrict, and a composition phase, during which players will submit their ideas for post restrictions (see below). Players will receive their roles along with their restrictions at the conclusion of this phase, and the first day will then begin. Please note that this will not provide an opportunity for groups which are permitted to nighttalk to converse prior to the start. Tough.
15. Once you have selected a player to restrict, please send me three possibilities for that player's post restriction, in preference order. I reserve the right to modify or combine restrictions for the sake of playability or lulz.
