Goatrevolt's avatar:

Image

A goat, revolting.

What I actually see in my mind:

Image

A slightly retarded but happy toad in a bow tie.

My perception of this avatar has also the interesting side effect of overruling my command of english. I know what a goat is on a cognisant level but I have to make a deliberate effort not to translate it into 'toad revolt' when I try to picture the phrase.

It doesn't affect my perception of the player much though.

Clearly not a godfather. More like a masked mafia minion. Definitely, part of informed minority. Needs a leader, therefore, not SK. Too winpy for mafia goon.

I like to think that it's actually you. If it's not, hush. Don't break the spell.

Usually avatars affect how I see the player rather than their alignment in a game. DGB is a perfect example which needs no explanation :). Adel is another one. (Image) made her posts seem divinely intelligent, but then (Image) made me see the crazy side.

Also, I agree that shaft.ed's and GoatRevolt's avatars make them seem burly.

The main effect of Kison's avatar is that I dislike him dying because I want to continue seeing his completely awesome avatars.

I see him as a Warlock from the TV series Charmed. That, combined with your sinister-sounding user name would lead me to think you're an SK.

...you know, I always thought goat's avatar was a picture of a frog. Shows you how much attention and thought I usually pay to avatars.

I always think of Flay as that old man.

And what...apparently thinking my avatar is a frog is a more widespread problem than earlier imagined. I find that hilarious.

Hi.

It still looks exactly like a frog when I don't look directly at it. :\

I can't even see it as a frog, despite being told it's a frog or squinting or anything. All I've ever seen is a goat with some guys trying to restrain him

Yeah, me too, which is why I find it entertaining that so many people view it as a frog. A frog of all things...

Now I see it too. You have to aim your eyes about two inches to the right of the avatar, and then it's a happy frog.

I didn't see it originally, but now that it has been pointed out to me I can see easily without doing any weird eye stuff.

Meh, I still can't see it. I think I've just conditioned my mind to see a goat being restrained by 3 men. How silly of me.
