Welcome to the 1829 Dusseldorf Carnival! As the carnival's proprietor, I bid you a pleasant time in our wondrous festival. However, I must warn you of the happenings of late: my two best performers are battling for popularity. The Joker and The Puppeteer having been cutthroat, trying to steal each other's fans, sabotaging their sets, and causing my patrons real consternation! The other performers and vendors are getting weary, I'm getting weary, so it has come down to voting people off. I wish there was an easier way, but this is only
fair
,
no pun intended.

General Rules

Mod is God.
(except when I makes minor mistakes, then tell me)

No quoting the Mod besides posts I make in the game thread.

I will use
teal
as my mod text.
NEVER USE TEAL. EVER.

Don’t write in code or small text. You can breadcrumb, but literal codes aren’t cool. Plus, they are pretty damn obvious, scum.

Prods happen when either you request one or when I feel a player isn’t contributing enough (purely subjective). If a prod goes unresponded for 3 days without any indication of V/LA, I’ll find a replacement.

When voting,
bold
your vote AND unvote if you already have a vote. I will get a vote count on every page and/or on request. Keep track of your own FoSes. (example:
Unvote, Vote: SilverPhoenix
)

No talking when you are dead. This includes "bah" posts, talking in twilight before I get around to posting the death scene, talking after you're dead, talking about the game when you're dead outside of the thread before the game is over and so on. Other people can talk in twilight, just not the recently lynched.

No PMing other players about the game for ANY reason. All outside thread discussion are done in quicktopics I provide.

Play to win. Do anything that I feel excessively goes against this, and you will be punished.

No personal attacks. It's a game, people. Also, have fun! :D

I make rules as I deem necessary. This list is not exhaustive by any means.

Punishments include modkill, blacklist, and possible autoloss. You are warned.

Game-Specific Rules

Game starts in Day.

A majority vote is defined as the first integer value that is above 51% of the current population.

When a player leaves the game, their full role is revealed. This does not mean the player in question was told their full role, however.

This game is bastard-ish. You (yes, everyone) probably will not like the outcome of this game. But you knew that, didn't you?

All confirms are in. It is Day 1. With 11 alive, it will take 6 to lynch.

The dawn breaks over the canvas city as a new day begins, just like every other day this time of year. The performers are stretching before their daily spectacles. The vendors are bustling about, cooking their meats and pastries in anticipation for the coming visitors. But there was something they didn't anticipate...

Death. More specifically, the entire freak show all piled in a bloody heap. Even the bearded lady couldn't escape the wrath of this deed. Upon closer inspection, it appears that they jumped from the trapeze scaffold onto the bare earth, like if they were diving in some imaginary pool.

The carnival workers are angry. They are frightened. They want to find the murderer...

I'm going for the Siamese twin. It's been a couple of months since my last game of mafia, so a lot of names don't ring a bell.

I'll
Vote: Debonair Danny DiPietro
because he even has a longer name than I have.

Why vote for longer name players? To me, its just much more of a pain in the ass to get to type.
And by the way, is anyone hungry?

OK. Since long random stages piss me off, and we have nearly a page already (yes, I'm that impatient) let's kick off the real discussion.

@Nocmen:
And by the way, is anyone hungry?
Explain this please. We have been warned that this game has bastard-ish elements in it and I would like to know if this is one of them.

Nothing related to the game. I just happened to make that post before I was getting lunch, and all I could think about was getting food in my mouth.

For disliking a "long" RVS when this one hasn't even reached a page. Talk about impatient.

I agree with what Kairyuu said about disliking random vote stages. I dislike them as well, they usually cause stagnation, and while some may say they can do well to find out about certain characteristics of players, I think the same can be said if one just takes it the same and starts questioning the other players.

Though Kairyuu, why would you say you dislike long random phases when just a few posts earlier, you went with the same kind of random votes you dislike?

Well, what do you suggest then to start moving the game instead of the rvs?
