The land of Alledaags had a very long and prosperous history, going back over a millenia. For longer than even the oldest creatures could remember, everyone lived in relative peace; sure there were fights and wars all the time, but all was in line with the balance of nature. People were happy in Alledaags, and took great care of their land. It was a fabulous land. All this changed in the year 9900.

It was July 1st, the anniversary of this great continent having been first inhabited. As was the custom, there was a week-long festival in the center of the land, and all the races came together to celebrate the past, and pray for the future. This festival had gone just like all the others, and was even one of the better ones in the past couple of decades. That is, until the closing ceremonies.

"We are in grave danger," warned Elena Riverwind, the famous prophet, "grave danger indeed." The croud of hundreds of thousands laughed and giggled amongst themselves as she continued, "Alledaags is at risk. Forces are plotting to try and overtake this wonderful land, to seize total control for themselves." At these words, no one dared make a sound. Even if it weren't for her magically enhanced voice, the rest of her warning would have been audible to every single being in attendance. "The year 9933, 33 years from today. It will start with a single victim, one will be brutally murdered. It will be the warning sign: one single victim. You have been wanred."

As the years passed, people convinced themselves that Elena was losing her touch, that her one thousand plus years were finally starting to get to her. Surely, Alledaags, which had survived for almost ten millenia, wasn't under any sort of threat. There wasn't a soul on this land that would want to tyrannize the rest of them, they thought. Everything would be fine. The years passed, and as Elena never again predicted anything about this destruction, people were more sure than ever that it was a fluke prediction. Still, people were very tentative as the year 9932 came to a close. There was 10 weeks left. Nine. Eight, seven, six, five. Four weeks until 9933. Three weeks, two weeks. A single week until 9933. Four days. Three days, two days. One last day. One last hour. One last minute. One last second.

And then it happened.

The instant it became the year 9933, Elena Riverwind was brutally killed.

Rules

(Stolen and modified from Oman, who stole and modified them from Crub, who probably theifed them from meme in some way)
[01]
Votes must be in bold.
If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
[02]
It would be appreciated if you unvote,
if necessary, before casting a new vote. I do not require it, though.
[03]
Lynching will require a simple majority of votes.
Once a player has reached the necessary majority, their pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. Feel free to post and pm in twilight, though.
[04] You may vote: No Lynch. Majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.
[05]
Days will last 3 weeks long max.
If I impose a day deadline, no one will be lynched if the deadline hits with no one reaching the required number of votes.
[07]
Do not discuss this game outside the thread unless your role states it.
No-one may post in the thread when I declare it night (In case I don't lock it).
[08]
Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing.
Not even a “Bah!” post. Just, just stop. Fingers off the keys. You're no longer breathing. Save it for after the game is over.
[09] No small or invisible text. Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts either.
[10]
Don’t quote any PMs from me or other players. If you do, I will cast Summon Nature's Modkill V on you.
Also, if you have anything sneaky or dicey such as screenshots, cryptography etc, please PM me and check.

[11]
If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline.
I will not wait for you. If you do not submit a choice to me, its a No Choice.
If you have a power and don't want to use it PM me "none" "no action" or similar to keep the game fast.

[12] If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread or PM me. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
[13] Unlike Oman (and like Crub) I am fallible.
If I make a mistake, let me know. It can be either by PM or in-thread.
In particular, if I post a vote count that does not accurately reflect your vote, please correct me, or your (incorrect) vote may be counted as I placed it.
[14] There is no Rule 6
[15]
Green texts are my mod texts.
Please don't use them.
I know what I write, and if you try to pass yourself off as me, you shall feel pain.
[16] Any Role PM that contradicts one of these rules overrides the general rule.
[17]
Play to win this game.
Do not use it to build a meta-game of yourself for other games,
this game is an island.
Also,
all players must read their role PMs
and understand their role before playing. If you have a question PM me.
[18] Remember, it’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun. Be nice to your fellow players and your mod.

(11:04:19 PM) senspizzaline: Miami finishes 2nd in the AFCE.

Role PMs have been sent out.

I'm V/LA until Sunday afternoon, as the sig says. Day 1 will start when I get back, assuming most people have picked up their PM.

Elena lived alone, so it was later that day before the famed prophet was found, dead. It was the most brutal and savage murder that anyone had ever seen; her body was burnt, trampled, riddled with arrows, and covered in dark magic symbols. The land’s best Clerics were brought in immediately, but nothing they did was able to bring her back to life. The best they could do was to restore the body, so it looked like there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, just from looking at the elf. Her body was arranged in a nice pose, so it looked like she might be casting a spell, and Heilige Genezer, the land’s best Cleric, cast Stoneskin, turning the murdered elf into a magnificent stone statue.

Image

Instantly, a dozen of the more common races sent a representative to the statue, which was made a monument. Verkozen Woordvoerder, the leader of Alledaags, told them that he had been looking through Elena’s diary, and she warned that all the threats to the land would be in those dozen races. The delegates of the races would therefore vote each Day, Verkozen told them, on which race should be completely eradicated from Alledaags, and the chosen representative would be thrown in jail. The racial leaders agreed to the terms, and prepared to go back to their designated locations at which they would be staying until this matter was resolved.

“Glad you agree with my decision,” Verkozen told them. “You will now decide on the first person to be locked up. I’ll be back at sunset to see your decision.”

And he vanished, leaving the twelve of you to decide on the first person to be locked up.

It is now Day 1.
You have 3 weeks to lynch someone.
With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

He's from Virginia.
Wretched excess is an unfortunate human trait that turns a perfectly good idea such as Christmas into a frenzy of last-minute shopping-or attaches the name of St. Patrick to the day of the year that bartenders fear most.

, obligatory third bandwagon voter counter-bandwagon.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
