If elected HOH I'll be probably taking something similar to PJ's List system used in Kingmaker, for anyone familiar with that game.

you'll never know for sure who is and isnt scum unless youre on a scum faction. if you get a scummy vibe from townie and then decide to give it to scum instead, thats just as bad.

I'd ike everyone to answer these questions:

HoH applicationform

1) Do you think it matters a good/experienced player gets elected as HoH?

2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)

3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?

4) If i were HoH, i would pick ___ and ___

An experienced scum would be very bad for the town. A loose cannon townie not putting much thought into his picks could be very bad for the town. An experienced townie that carefully weighs his options in his selections would most likely be very beneficial for the town.
Grandi wrote: 2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)
I think the HoH should pay attention to the scum hunting going on and do plenty of his own before finalizing his picks. The HoH ultimately has the power and with the high number of scum in this game, I'm not so sure a majority voting system outweighs good scum hunting. As the game progresses, a voting system might become more valuable if we have evicted several scum and are positive that the town is the majority.
Grandi wrote: 3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?
I would put the 2 up that I felt were most likely scum to prevent a mis-eviction.

Yes. That way, they have a better idea of how players would react to crtain things.

2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)
Whatever majority says. I'm not fussy on either, right now.

3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?
I would put him and someone who is very townie, yes. That way, I can further my scumhunting and look for any connections

4) If i were HoH, i would pick ___ and ___

2 people who didn't reason their vote. I think they are mafia who thought they'd get away with anything.

There were 4 votes for Sens. None of them were based on a reason from this game. Not a huge wagon, but a wagon nonetheless.

I just don't want to see this turn into Sen's tree stump game, All talk and no direction.

I'll scumhunt if needed, but I much rather get the ball rolling now, it just makes it easier is all.

No. See the answer to the next question.
2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)
Yes. If the player is town then they will tend to listen to town and pick the most nominated player. I read the old BB mafia game from 2007 (linked by farside in the calling thread) and they used a nomination for the two players that should be picked by the HOH for final voting. HOH kept a record of who was nominated. That seemed to work fairly well.

Scum would maybe listen to town for one but probably nominate someone from town or the other faction as the second player. Fairly obvious but it happened in the last game.

3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?
No, I'd still try and go for both scum if I could.

4) If i were HoH, i would pick ___ and ___[/quote]

I have no idea yet!

Hello I am Mufasa, if I could have a minute of your time.

I explained to VI this once before that my brother whoot1234 who lives in the samehousehold often times posts without realizing that my account was autosigned in, and vice versa, thus resulting in some technalities, However, I can sware on the good lord that we do not converse roles, we do not know eachothers abilities and such forth. I really am embrassed that my brother has posted so many times, and has followed me into so many games, I will have a little one to one chat with him. But if not I understand. Just wanted to say sorry for any inconvenience

I think it is more important we find a town player than making sure they are experienced. A good, thinking player is someone I would prefer to see as HoH as long as I also think they are town.
Grandi wrote:2) Do you think HoH should be guided by town? (as in, we still vote, and HoH picks the highest 2 in the VC)
To a certain degree, the HoH should consider what the town wants. However, there must be an amount of personal responsibility and if I disagree with a large portion of town that one person is scum, I wouldn't put them up. You have to be willing to listen to the other points of view, but not sacrifice your own and treat the HoH position as a weekly immunity. Giving the mafia a chance to slide by without this responsibility is dangerous.
Grandi wrote:3) If you are very suspicious of someone, would you pick him together with a seemingly town person if you were HoH to be sure your suspect gets lynched?
No. If I the 'townie' individual makes a mistake, or I misread people and the person I think is town gets lynched, I'll be kicking myself (unless that person came up as scum). I'd be nominating my two top suspects every time.
Grandi wrote:4) If i were HoH, i would pick ___ and ___
Much to early for me to be guaranteeing this either way. If people do feel as though they can answer this already, I'd like to know why.

@Grandi: Could you answer your own questions? I like that you want to get some thought into the game, but your opinions on the matter are as important as ours.

I'm going to take this and assume that mufasa and whoot were on seperate factions, otherwise this wouldn't have been an issue.

Lynching one or both have them will lead to a scum kill.

You're bringing up nongame things as arguments for finding someone scummy. He's posted the same status message in several other of his games, and I'm sure it has nothing to do with factions in any particular one of the games he posted this status as.

Except a quick search shows that this is one of 5 games this exact quote appeared in. This tells us nothing.
