Prologue

Ned stood on the platform. Silent. He had admitted to a crime he had not committed, which went against his principles as a Stark and as a man. He knew it was for the good of his family. He sighed, a life on The Wall wasn't so bad compared to what could have happened. After all Jon and his brother Benjen were there. He thought of Winterfell then, knowing he would never see it again, knowing he would serve on the wall, and very likely die on the wall.

The crowd watched, waiting patiently for the proclamation. Ned barely looked at them. He knew what was going to happen. He thought of Winterfell again, the crypt which held all his ancestors. How he'd miss Lyanna, her voice echoed in his mind then 'Promise me Ned'. He knew he'd have to tell Jon the truth eventually, but there'd never been a good time. Ned thought of Cat and his children. Sansa and Arya would be safe, by doing this he'd ensure their safety and the safety of his sons, or so he hoped.

A breeze blew, carrying some words to Ned's ear but he ignored them, he was almost looking forward to taking the black, was Ned. No more politics. No more playing the Game of thrones, something he knew he wasn't suited for. He almost longed to be on the wall, wind in his hair, sword in hand. The sooner this was over with the better.

Robert had been brought down by being King, ending up a pale shadow of his former self and dying. Ned reflected then, knowing how lucky he was to have gotten away with his own life.

He saw the 'King' stand up then. Ned would have sneered if he'd been the type, instead his expression remained emotionless. (cos ya know Ned's a statue). Ned looked out as the crowd gazed expectantly on their new King. A boy, not yet a man. Ned wasn't sure if he'd ever truely be a man, there was something wicked in Joffrey, definitely a Lannister at heart.

Ned listened as Joffrey began to speak to the crowd.

"My mother bids me let Lord Eddard take the black and Lady Sansa has begged mercy for her father." the King said. Ned looked around, trying to see Sansa then, as Joffrey continued.

"But they have the soft hearts of women. So long as I am your King, reason shall never go unpunished. Ser Ilyn, bring me his head!" Joffrey said looking towards Ned, a grin on his face. Ned was shocked, it couldn't end like this. He struggled briefly as he was brought to the platform and held down. It happened so fast as Ned felt the blade bite through his neck. He imagined he heard Arya of all people call out then. He guessed he'd see Robert sooner than he thought..and by the time that thought had entered his mind, it was his last.

You do pretty much whatever. Prod/Votecounts/Lynch Scenes/Resolve any night actions/replacements/modkills amongst many other things. You don't take an active part in the game though and people may Pm you with any questions they have, so don't worry.

Win Condition

You win when the game ends after another win condition has been achieved. The players enjoying the game gets a double win.

: You win when the scum are dead and the kingdom is a safe(ish) place to live in.

Rules (stolen from Hoopla with some modifications)


1) The site-wide rules apply, please read them and don't do anything stupid.
2) Unless it is explicitly stated in your role PM that you can do so, do not talk about this game outside of the game thread.
3) Do not quote any communication you have with me, the moderator of the game. Depending on the circumstance, you may be able to paraphrase things I have sent you (such as a role PM). Use common sense and if you are unsure feel free to ask me via PM.
4) Be courteous to your fellow player. This is just a game - please don't bring personal grudges into the game. Try and keep it civil.



5) For your vote to be counted, it must be bold, and in the form Caps and colons are optional, but it does need to be bolded.
6) Unvotes aren't necessary, but will be appreciated.
7) A lynch will occur when a player achieves 50% +1 of the votes. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and the game will enter twilight. Night will begin as soon as I have declared the lynch.
8) You may vote for a ‘no lynch’ if desired. If a majority of the players in the game vote for a no lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch.
9) Once you're dead, you are dead. Do not post in the thread until the game is over, not even a 'bah' post.



10) Treat this game as a commitment, and try your best to stay active.
11) Prods will be issued after three days in a row without posting. If I keep having to prod you I'll get angry and replace you. Players may request a prod on another player too, I'm human I may forget so if you want someone prodded just tell me.
11a) If you do not open a prod within 24 hours of it being sent I will begin looking for a replacement.
12) Things come up in life, if you need time off for something, please let myself and the players know in-thread for V/LA purposes. I will be flexible, but if you can't be here for a significant amount of time I will replace you.
13) Deadlines for each game day will be
14) In the event of a deadline ending without a player gaining a majority of votes, there will no lynch. We don't do less than majority here in Westeros.
15) Nights will have a 72 hour deadline. If you fail to send in a night choice, I will automatically default to 'no choice' for that night, and you will do nothing.
16) Deadlines will only be extended if I need a number of replacements, or barring some other freak circumstances. Apart from that laziness, or anything else, will not result in a deadline extension.



17) and Mech font are my colours I will use for modly purposes. All other colors are fair game as long as they are easily read by your other players/myself. I'll not modkill you if you happen to use them, but try not to please.
18) I will try to post Vote Counts as often as possible. Hopefully on the top of every page. If you feel a vote count is needed, don’t hesitate to ask for one, and I’ll provide one at the next opportunity.
19) It's more than possible I've missed a rule or haven't completely covered something. Don't be a prick and try to exploit it, or I will punish you. If something is fuzzy for you, please ask!
20) I reserve the right to add more, or modify existing rules at any time. If this happens, I will let everyone know.
21) Flavour in night/day write up's is just that ; flavour. Knowledge of the theme may help but as you can see from the initial write up's it's not necessarily canon.

Day 1

Varys sat in his spartan cold bed chamber. This morning had not gone as planned and Lord Stark’s death would send threads rippling out in many directions. There would be war, and death, and the innocent would suffer.

First things first, while the lords, nobles and influentials argued and fought, the innocent must be protected, someone must be placed in charge, even if only temporarily. Eddard Stark’s death had left an opening, a new Hand of the King must be chosen. But which King would he speak for and, more importantly, which King would he kill for.

Day 1 has now begun.

There will be two simultaneous voting processes.
You will vote for a lynch as usual. or will be accepted for this.

The second vote will be to raise a new Hand of the King. will be accepted for this. Similarly will be accepted.

A Hand of the King will be raised when there is a simple majority (i.e. 14 votes). Alternatively, whoever has the most ‘raise’ votes at the time of the Day 1 lynch, will be raised.

Whichever method is used, the Hand of the King will become a double voter from the beginning of Day 2. The Hand may split the two votes. Both votes will be public.
The Hand may not be stripped of his title in any way. A new Hand will not be chosen on the Hand’s death.

Hey, guys! I have an awesome idea. We should have a mass nameclaim today! That will totally catch all the scum, by...um, forcing them to use their fake claims. I mean, the one who suggested that plan in Mafia went on to win the game, so it will be a total success.

It was a joke. In the mini prequel to this game (), the player who proposed the nameclaim was my scumbuddy then. It was a disaster for the town that distracted them all game.
