You can look at the discrepancy between what people say now and what they do in DEFCON 3, which might give us some useful information. But probably less helpful if not everyone participates (which they'll hopefully do when we do get to DEFCON 3)

As for the submarine bit, I don't think it'd hurt a townie besides taking his kill without an explanation away from him. It'd definitely hurt scum if they have it, though. I think it'd be better to narrow it down. I got submarine refused as well.

Yes. There is a time where we will claim our abilities, and I will automatically assume that the one with the submarine is scum if he hasn't claimed before. Also, it's definitely not a NK-target.

Outing the sub may not do much for us, honestly. I can't see why scum would actually claim it.

We should probably be a bit more careful with claiming roles/hinting at them, since if someone claims defensive troops the scum can narrow down what abilities they have, since there are only 4 abilities in the defensive area.

Oh. I was convinced you were only allowed to deploy one type of troops, and then pick an ability from there, not pick abilities from the general pool and get assigned the corresponding troops.
