i have seen this tactic in a finished newbie game where a person convinces the others to completely ignore someone else due to 'vi'
i no like
preview edit: what? so i get lynched in about 8 games as townie on day1 to win in this game? huh, it makes no sense to me
2) If I was "scum" trying to get people to ignore you, it would be because of you being scum. Scumslip maybe?
Seeing as how you are a popular Day 1 lynch, I'm not going to vote you just yet, but you're definitely tempting me.FOS: Andrew
point 2- er wtf? your scum getting people to ignore me- town guyif anythingI was helping you out because people (i.e. Jason) suspected you as scum. I was trying to help explain what looked like your "scummy" behavior as you just being an idiot. With your track record for being lynched Day 1, I thought that should speak for itself. Also if you are a "villageidiot" meaning townie and I was scum I wouldn't worry about people ignoring you for you're not that much of a threat TBH.Town Record: 2 - 3

Yeah, but pursuing it this way is a little WIFOM don't ya think? I'm not questioning your vote on Andrew, but I think we really need to analyze him more before we claim his as our lynch.jasonT1981 wrote:Which is why the VI play is the perfect way for Andrew to skate by undetected as scum. my vote on Andrew was not serious, the fact he got to L-2 doesn't sit well with me, I'm looking at these bandwagons and why they formed, I don't think Andrew is the day 1 lynch, even if he is scum. He just is too easy a vote and mafia can hide in there without any worry about being FOS'd cause it's Andrew.ShowCall me Rob, Hop, or joystick but I am better known in mafia world as the "Fall guy"

Andrew, you never really answered my original question about your attack on HOMJ. Why did you make such a half-hearted attack on what would have been a monumental scumslip?
HOMJ, what is your current read on andrew?Andy Murray: Two time Wimbledon and one time US Open Champ! Former world number 1!
C'mon Andy!-

I never argued they didn't. I just said it's easy for someone to say to someone jumping on their wagon "OMG OPPORTUNISM SCUMZZZ!!!" without really saying why, which is what shotty did.Zdenek wrote:Scum do act opportunistically.
No, I interpret the post as active lurking and spaghetti flinging (I even said so right in the quote).Zdenek wrote:This is his reply to Joystick's post where he comments that Shotty is overreacting to the wagon on him. Joystick makes no comment about whether it is scummy or not, but antihero interprets the post as an accusation and uses this interpretation as a way to attack joystick.
Of course scum can be opportunistic, I just don't think you were in this case.nameloc wrote:Antihero makes a post about opportunism, saying it's something scum would accuse someone else of (referencing shotty) but doesn't admit that scum would use opportunism either.
First off, the intention of the question was to get Jason to give some opinions on other people. I didn't think jason would just vote shotty w/o a reason.nameloc wrote:...places suspicion on Jason after he answered his question???
I think jason and dryfit might be chasing a red herring with this andrew thing, but I would like an explanation for this:
I'm eagerly awaiting the catchup post by CKD.HopOnMyJoystick wrote:unvote

now that I am home and on a pc I plan on reading back through, I will let you know hopefully later today. I need to see if he is playing the same or different than I have seen him, and right now I just don't know cause I have been away.Dry-fit wrote:Andrew, you never really answered my original question about your attack on HOMJ. Because the question felt more like a "friendly" question and then your response made me feel like you set him up for a trap.Antihero wrote:

Kinda of like:
"Hey do want to try this chocolate cake or this pound cake?"
"I think I'll try the chocolate."
"WHY THE FUCK DID YOU CHOOSE THE CHOCOLATE??"

This is a false analogy. Also, it's an exaggeration to say that I "jumped on Jason."nameloc1986 wrote:

OK, well that's a matter of personal opinion.nameloc1986 wrote:I guess that does make Jason look more like a "follower" but being Day 1 and close to the RVS, I didn't think it was absolutely necessary to give a reason right then. The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.-

ok to the person who asked how I felt about andrew's play and to me he doesn't seem to be as scummy as before, he questions me cause he suspects me and than gets put on the defensive cause people just call him a VIShowCall me Rob, Hop, or joystick but I am better known in mafia world as the "Fall guy"
